    Koch.-Lovina Koch, Kitchener, Ont., wife of the late David R. Koch who preceded her about 9 years ago, daughter of the late David N. Brubacker, was born April 17, 1874, in Woolwich Twp.; died May 19, 1944; aged 70 y. 1 m. 2 d. Surviving are 2 sons (Elven and Howard, Kitchener), 2 daughters (Mrs. Noah Ziegler of near Elmira, and Leona, Kitchener), 3 brothers (Addison, Kitchener; Nathaniel, Main Centre, Sask.; David, Waterloo), and 2 sisters (Mrs. George Lichty, Elmira; Mrs. Harry Humphrey, Niagara Falls, N. Y.). Fifteen grandchildren also survive and one great-grandchild. Two sons (Manley and Forrest), and one daughter (Mrs. Henry Seiling) predeceased her. She was a member of the Mennonite church many years, and was a faithful member of the First Mennonite church during the last years. She will be missed by the family, the church, and her many friends. Funeral services were in charge of Bro. C. F. Derstine, assisted by Bros. Oliver Snider, Roy Koch, and Andrew Shelly at the Elmira Mennonite Church.

    ZIEGLER, Mrs. Hilda - On Friday, Feb. 26, 1982, at K-W Hospital, aged 78 years, of Elmira, Hilda Koch, wife of Noah Ziegler.

    Dear mother of Mrs. Abner (Marie) Bauman and Mrs. Elmer (Betty) Bauman, both of Elmira and Merlyn of Bramalee; sister of Howard Koch of Kitchener. Nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.

    Mrs. Ziegler was predeceased by one son, Laverne, three brothers, two sisters and her parents, David and Lovina Koch.

    Friends called at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, where the funeral service was held in the chapel on Tuesday, March 2 at 3 pm with Rev. Lester Kehl officiating. Interment Floradale Mennonite Cemetery.

    Koch. - Forrest Koch, son of David R. and Lovina Koch, was born near Conestoga, Ont., May 28, 1914; died at his home in Elmira, Ont., Aug. 19, 1934; aged 20 y. 2 m. 21 d. He is survived by his parents, 2 brothers (Elvin and Howard of Elmira), 3 sisters (Mrs. Henry Seiling of Elmira, Mrs. Noah Zeigler of West Montrose, and Lenora at home). One brother (Manly) predeceased him 7 years ago at the age of 15, now Forrest too at the age of 20 years has passed on to his eternal home. Just why two such promising young boys should be called from their loved ones so early in life we cannot understand now, but God knows best. Both were Christian young men; Bro. Forrest had accepted Christ 7 years ago and remained faithful until he was called home after an illness of 5 days, although he had not been in the best of health for some time. One of his last wishes was that he might soon be drinking from the fountain of living water in heaven.

    "Weep not for me nor wish me back,
    I now from pain am free;
    And in my Jesus' arms I rest
    Where I have longed to be."

    Funeral services were held Aug. 21, at Elmira Mennonite Church by Bros. Moses Brubacher and Elmer D. Snider. Interment in adjoining Cemetery.

    MRS. VERNA MAY SEILING

    A brief illness terminated the life last night of Mrs. Verna May Seiling. Erb Street East, Waterloo, who died at St. Mary's Hospital. She was 48 years old.

    She was born on Nov. 5. 1895, In Woolwich Township. She formerly lived in Elmira. Mrs. Seiling belonged to St John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo and also to the Ladies' Aid Society of that church.

    She is survived by Mrs. David Koch of this city, her mother, five sons, Edward. R.C.N.V.R., Howard of Waterloo, Frederick, R.C.N.V.R. Wilson and Glen of Waterloo, four daughters, Mrs. Percy Soehner of Kitchener. Mrs. Albert Hickman and the Misses Valera and Elaine Seiling of Waterloo, two brothers Elvin and Howard Koch of Kitchener and two sisters. Mrs. Noah Ziegler of Floradale and Miss Lenora Koch of Kitchener. One grandchild also survives.

    The funeral will be held from the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home on Saturday at 2 o'clock with interment in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev. C. S. Roberts will officiate, Remains. are resting at the Funeral Home.

    SEILING, Edward Irvin - Died suddenly, on Monday, Sept. 30, 1991, at his residence, RR 1, St. Agatha, Edward Irvin Seiling, aged 70 years.

    He was born at Shantz Station and was semi-retired from Travel Ventures, Kitchener. A member of First United Church, Waterloo. He served in the Navy during the Second World War.

    Son of the late Henry and Verna Seiling. Husband of the former Gladys Mildred Ziegler; father of Dana and his wife Lynda, Linda and her husband Eric MacDonald, all of Kitchener, Jennifer and her husband Steve Henderson of Bright; grandfather of two grandsons, Chip and Travis; brother of Fred of Elora, Glenn of Guelph, Wilson of Brockville, Ruby Hickman of Kitchener, Esther Soehner of Elmira, Valera Adam and Elaine Lethbridge, both of Restoule.

    Predeceased by one brother, Howard.

    Mr. Seiling's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Jim Somerville officiating. Interment Parkview cemetery, Waterloo.

    SEILING, Frederick "Fred" May 2, 1925 - November 27, 2014 Peacefully passed away into the presence of his Lord at Guelph General Hospital with his family by his side. Fred was predeceased by his first wife Delores (Lichty) Seiling (1980) and by his second wife Ruth (Bender-Bennett) Seiling (2009). Dear father of Ron and Jeanette, David and Nancy all of Elora, Terry and Ruth of Elmira, Jeff and Penny of Alberta. Stepfather of Philip and Diane of New York, and Lois Cooke of Toronto. Also lovingly remembered by his 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, William Cooke, Carolyn Bennett, Cindy Seiling, and by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Loving brother of Esther Soehner of Elmira and Elaine and Percy Lethbridge of Restoule. Pre- deceased by his parents Henry and Verna Seiling, his sisters Ruby Hickman and Valera Adams, and his brothers Edward, Howard, Wilson, and Glen. There will be no funeral home visitation. Interment has taken place in Memory Gardens, Breslau. A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate Fred's life will ybe held at Elmira Pentecostal Assembly, 290 Arthur Street South, Elmira on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Loving mother of Gary Adam (Marie) of Cambridge, Debbie Lamarche (Peter) of Fonthill, Penny Crawford (Tom) of Kitchener, Glen Adam (Debbie) of West Montrose and Cheryl Young (Mike) of Powassan. Survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters, predeceased by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Val's memory will live on in her 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Mr. Seiling is survived by his siblings Esther Soehner (late Percy), Fred Seiling (late Dolores and late Ruth) and Elaine Lethbridge (Percy). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Beloved husband of Debbie Reed; loved father of Shane and wife Katrina, Jason (Michelle), Mark (Ashlee), and Trevor (Leslie); grandpa of Spencer and Evaleena, Austin, Dakota, Alexis and Emma, Hunter, Zach and Lola, Jazzmin and Ally; step-father of Harold (Rachel) Asmussen, Heather (Tyson) Asmussen, and Jay Asmussen.
