    Miss Laura Gingrich

    PRESTON, Miss Laura Gingrich, 74, of Preston, died at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Saturday. She had been ailing for two months and seriously ill, for three days. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, she had lived in Preston, all of her life. Surviving are two brothers, Charles and George Gingrich of Preston. The funeral was held today, at the home, 433 Victoria Avenue. Interment was in Preston cemetery. Rev, S, Dauphinee officiated.

    Joseph Gingrich

    PRESTON, Aug. 19 - Joseph Gingrich, a well known Preston resident for nearly half a century, died suddenly at his home, 178 Francis St., at 10: 30 Saturday night of a heart attack, at the age of 83 years. Mr. Gingrich had been employed at his regular duties at Pattinson Woollen Mill until Saturday and word of his sudden passing came as a distinct shock to many friends. Born in Preston he received his education and resided here until 20 years of age when he went to Detroit, spending 18 years in that city and then returning to Preston 28 years ago, residing here since that time. He was employed as a machinist at the Pattinson Woollen Mill for the past 15 years, having been employed prior to that time at the Preston Woodworking Machinery Co., while he learned his trade in Preston with the former Ballantine industry. A keen sportsman, Mr. Gingrich was an ardent hunter and was interested in all sports. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Surviving is his wife, Rose Marzean; a daughter, Mrs. John Wunder, Preston; two sons, Clarence of Preston and Harry at home; one granddaughter, Sandra Wunder, Preston; three brothers. Charles, George and Fred, all of Preston and a sister, Miss Laura Gingrich, Preston. A sister, Mrs. Benjamin Warner of Guelph, predeceased him two years ago and a brother, William of Preston, predeceased him 22 years ago. The remains are resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home, from where the funeral will be held on Wednesday at 2: 30, with interment in the Preston cemetery,

    Charles Harry Gingrich

    PRESTON, Charles Harry Gingrich, formerly of 238 Wellington St., died today in Kingston. He was 87. Mr. Gingrich was born in Preston and lived here until moving to Peterborough, eight years ago. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. He was precedeased by his wife, the former Gertrude .Alice Near, in 1958. Surviving are two sons, Robert of Preston and Homer of Keene: one daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Grace) Gellow of Preston and 12 grandchildren. The body will be at Barthel-Stager funeral home, Tuesday afternoon, where service will be conducted Wednesday, at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Preston cemetery.

    EDNA WUNDER 1918 - 2008 - At McMaster Medical Centre in Hamilton, on Thursday, November 13, 2008, in her 91st year.

    Beloved wife of the late John Wunder.

    Dear mother of Sandra and her husband John Vince of Dundas.

    She will be lovingly remembered by her two granddaughters, Jennifer and her husband Andy Croy and Kimberly and her husband John Hudec.

    She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Rose Gingrich and brothers, Clarence and Harry Gingrich.

    Edna loved being outdoors, especially at their cottage on Loon Lake, Muskoka where they enjoyed boating, fishing and relaxing. A longtime resident of Kitchener, Edna spent the last five and a half years at the Meadowlands Retirement Home in Ancaster, where she was loved by all who knew her.

    Friends are invited to share their memories of Edna with her family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. On Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 11 a.m. a service to celebrate Edna's life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Michael Wunder officiating. A reception in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home will follow.

    Following cremation, interment will take place in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.

    Condolences for the family and donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario may be arranged through the funeral home, 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com. In living memory of Edna, a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
