    Josiah Gingrich

    Funeral service and burial took place Friday at the North Woolwich Mennonite meeting house for Josiah Gingrich. He died last Wednesday at his home in Floradale at the age of 83.
    He was the husband of the former Maryann Freeman; father of Minerva (Mrs. Manassah Martin) of Elmira and Ivan of Wallenstein; brother of Emanuel of Saskatchewan, Norman and Noah of Elmira; grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 12.
    His first wife, Hannah Martin, predeceased him in 1919; four sisters also predeceased him.

    After a lengthy illness, Earl Martin of RR 4 Elmira, died Tuesday, July 16, at K-W Hospital.

    A son of Mr. and Mrs. Manasseh Martin, he was born in Woolwich Township, Feb, 3 1942.

    Surviving, besides his parents are four brothers, Paul, Harold, Willard, Bruce and a sister Laura all at home and his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Gingrich.

    Funeral was conducted on Thursday at 3:00 p.m., in Elmira Mennonite Church. The "body rested at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor here until 1 p.m. Thursday when removal was made to the church.

    Burial was In the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Howard S. Bauman officiated.

He showed us compassion and acceptance and what it meant to be a friend. He will be remembered for his vibrant personality, adventurous spirit and passion for life. His friendship will be missed. Jim was a dedicated employee of Decortile Ltd. in St. Jacobs for nearly 30 years where he was Project Manager. He was active at Erb Street Mennonite Church where he was a former chair of the Board of Property and very involved in the recent building project. Jim loved being on the water and especially enjoyed the last two summers sailing with his family aboard his sailboat, "Home Free." Friends are invited to share their memories of Jim with his family at the Edward R. Friends may call at the home of Aaron Martin, 1981 Red Deer Road East, Val Gagné, ON, P0K 1W0 on Saturday, October 21st from 1-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Sunday, October 22nd from 1-6 p.m. where a service will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. then to the Taylor North Meeting House for a further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.     ALLAN MARTIN The death occurred at his home Thursday morning, Nov. 8th of Allan Martin, aged ten days, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Enos Martin, R.R. 1, Elmira. Surviving are his parents and three sisters, all at home. The funeral was held Saturday morning at 9:30 from the house to Elmira Mennonite Church for service. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.

Predeceased by his son Lester, four children in infancy, his mother Mrs. Annie Weber and his maternal parents. Visitation was held at the Home of Laverne M. Weber, RR6, Mount Forest on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and will be held today (Monday) from 10-6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the home of Laverne M. Weber, RR6, Mount Forest on Tuesday, June 27 at 9: 30 a.m. Then to Spring Creek Mennonite Meeting House for burial and further services.
