    Musselman. - Magdalena Brubaker, widow of the late David Musselman, was born at Berlin, Ont., Mar. 10, 1834, and died at Berlin, Dec. 12, 1915. She lived in holy matrimony over 52 years. To them were born 13 children, 7 of whom are living. There are 8 grandchildren. She lived in widowhood for 11 years. She was converted 64 years ago and joined the Mennonite Church of which she remained a faithful member. She will be especially remembered by her loving and kind disposition. She passed much of her time in her declining years by singing hymns. Not long before she died she sang the hymn, "Sweeping through the gates of the New Jerusalem. Funeral on Dec. 15 at the Berlin Mennonite Church. Services were conducted by Samuel Bowman and S. Tautenshlager of the U. B. Church.

    Mrs. Magdalena Musselman

    A respected and widely known resident of the city, Mrs. Magdalena Musselman, relict of the late David Musselman, has been called to the Great Beyond. Death, which was caused by the infirmities of old age occurred on Sunday morning.

    The deceased was in her eighty-second year and had resided here for about thirty years. She is survived by three sons and four daughters.
    The funeral will be held at two o'clock on Wednesday afternoon at the residence, 36 Cameron North Street, thence to the East End Mennonite Church.

    Mrs. Frank Brubacher

    Also on Sunday, the wife of Frank Brubacher, died in Bridgeport of a lung infection. She was the oldest daughter of Mr. D. Musselmann of Berlin. She leaves her husband and three children. Burial takes place on Wednesday in the Mennonite cemetery here. About a year ago, two sisters of the deceased died here, Mrs. Moses Shirk and Miss Elizabeth Musselmann, within a period of two weeks.

    SHERK.-On the 1st of Feb. 1903, the remains of Catharine, wife of Moses Sherk of Michigan, and daughter of David and Polly Musselman, were laid to rest in the burial grounds at the Berlin (Ont.) Mennonite M.H. The house was filled to overflowing, showing the esteem in which the deceased was held. She had contracted a cold some time ago, which developed into pneumonia, from which she died, aged 46 Y., 3 M., 26 D. Her husband, in response to his companion's dying request, brought the remains from their home in Michigan to the old home in Berlin, from where the funeral took place. Services in English by D.B. Shenk and in German by Samuel Bowman.

    Death of Mrs. W. J. McArthur on Friday

    Susannah B. Musselman, wife of Wilbert J. McArthur, passed away Friday afternoon at two p.m., after a protracted illness at her home, 129 Elgin St., Mrs. McArthur had been in poor health for a number of years, and with her husband she spent nearly a year in California in an effort to regain her health but in spite of the most tender care and expert medical treatment she succumbed on Friday.

    The funeral will take place from the residence, 129 Elgin St., on Sunday at two o'clock p.m., to the East End Mennonite Church for service and burial.

    Deceased who was a daughter of the late David M. Musselman was born in the Township of Woolwich near Elmira, on the 28th Sept., 1866. She was married to Wilbert J. McArthur on Dec. 31st, 1896, and lived in Buffalo until 1905, when she removed to Cupar, Sask., where she remained until 1912. After a sojourn in California, she and her husband returned to Kitchener and took up residence at 129 Elgin St., in 1912, where they have lived ever since.

    Mrs. McArthur was of a generous and unselfish disposition, and her life was marked by her devotion to the interests of her husband, family and friends. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist church, and her five years' illness was borne with cheerfulness and Christian fortitude.
    She is survived by her husband Wilbert J. McArthur, three sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Jno S. Lowe, Cupar, Sask., Lydia and Mrs. W. H. Woods, both of Kitchener, S. B. Musselman, Loreburn, Sask., D. B. Musselman, of Lockwood, Sask., and J. B. of Regina, Sask.

    D. B. Musselman, ex-reeve, dies

    David B Musselman, 80, of 76 Angus crescent, pioneer municipal official of the Lockwood district, died at his home Wednesday.

    Mr. Musselman had served as reeve of the R.M. of Usborne, for 22 years in succession, prior to his retirement six years ago.

    Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Metropolitan United church with Rev. L. M. Outerbridge officiating. Burial will he in the family plot in Regina cemetery.

    Mr. Musselman is survived by his wife and two brothers, J. B. Musselman, 2275 Robinson street, and Solomon, Hobson, B.C.

    Of Mennonite extraction, Mr. Musselman's ancestors came to North America about 250 years ago, settling first in Pennsylvania. He was born on a farm near Elmira, in Waterloo county. Ontario, and spent most of his early life in Kitchener.

    Before coming west Mr. Musselman was associated with three of his brothers in the operation of a shoe manufacturing concern in Brampton. Ont.

    He came west in 1906 and purchased a section of land near Lockwood. The following spring he located on a nearby homestead and commenced farming operations.

    Mr. Musselman was first chairman of the Wilmot school district in 1921 and held the post for seven or eight years. He was also the first and only president of the Saskatchewan Co-operative Elevator company local at Lockwood until it was absorbed by the Saskatchewan wheat pool. He was first chairman of the Lockwood rural telephone company, serving a number of years in that capacity.

    Mr. Musselman was married in 1909 to a daughter of the late David Bean, of Waterloo.

    Both Mr. and Mrs. Musselman were interested in music and Mr. Musselman sang in a number of choirs, both in the east and in Saskatchewan. Before coming west he sang in the Berlin-Waterloo Philharmonic society

    Mr. Musselman was an active church worker and had taught in Sunday schools for a number of years.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Lucy Snyder, and one son Robert Brubaker of Kitchener.

    The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where service wil be held Tuesday at 3 p.m., with Rev. O. P. Hossie officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery.
