    Hannah Bergey," was born July 25th, 1857. She is married to John Kunkel and resides about three miles west of Waterloo where he is engaged in farming. Their family consists of four children".

    KUNKEL. - Hannah Kunkel (nee Burgey) was born near Mannheim, Ont., July 25, 1857; died after a lingering illness of tuberculosis of the bowels for two years, April 11, 1914; aged 56y. 8m. 17d. At the age of 16 she was converted and united with the Mennonite Church, remaining faithful unto death. In July, 1889, she was married to John Kunkel, Waterloo, to which union were born 6 children, of whom 1 son preceded her, leaving to mourn their loss a husband, 1 daughter and 4 sons. She leaves a bright evidence that she has gone to be with Christ, which is far better. Funeral services at the home by Noah Stauffer and at the church by Noah Hunsberger from Heb. 4: 9, and by Jonas Snider from II Cor. 4: 16-18. Burial in David Eby's cemetery. May God abundantly bless the sorrowing family.

    Kunkel - Hannah Bergey, wife of John Kunkel, of near Waterloo, Ont., died Apr. 11, 1914, of intestinal tuberculosis. Her age was 56 y. 8 m. 17 d. She leaves to mourn her death a husband, 1 daughter, 4 sons, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters. She was a faithful member of the Mennonite Church for almost 40 years. She was buried at the Waterloo Cemetery April 15. The funeral services were conducted at the home by Pre. Noah Stauffer and at the church by Bro. Noah Hunsberger in English from Heb. 4: 9, and by Pre. Jonas Snyder in German from II Cor. 4: 16-18, preaching to a crowded church. Her friends have the consolation to feel that they mourn not as those who have no hope.

    Snider, Gertie, daughter of John and Hannah (Bergey) Kunkel, died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Sept. 1, 1983; aged 92 y. She was married to Harvey Snider, who preceded her in death. Surviving are 9 children (Ruby Boltz, Rhea-Mrs. Donald Patterson, Betty-Mrs. Jack Carter, Foster, Merrel, Darel, Wallace, Ross, and Dale), 22 grandchildren, 22great-grandchildren, and one brother (Norman). She was preceded in death by 2 sons (John and Glen), and 3 brothers (Milton, Jacob, and Irvin). She was a member of First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, Ont., where funeral services were held on Sept. 5, in charge of Brice Balmer; interment in church cemetery.

    KUNKEL, Jacob - Of 247 Franklin St. N., Kitchener, at the K-W Hospital, Saturday, Sept. 27, 1980, in his 87th year, formerly of Cambridge (Preston).

    Jacob Kunkel, beloved husband of the late Viola Meyer; dear father of Douglas of Cambridge, Donald of Hamilton, Ruth (Mrs. Alex Kovats) of Sauble Beach. Also survived by two brothers, Irvin of Calgary and Norman of Lomond, Alta., a sister Mrs. Gertrude Snider of New Hamburg, seven grandchildren and. seven great-grandchildren.

    Mr. Kunkel was born in Kitchener and lived a great number of years in Cambridge. Owned and operated a grocery store on King Street, Preston. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and a former member of the Preston Legion Band.

    Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, for funeral service Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment in Memory Gardens, Breslau.

    As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appredated by the family.

    DOERNER, Marjorie - (1921 - 2005 ) - Passed away peacefully, at Lanark Nursing Home, with her children at her side, on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 , at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Carl Doerner. Loving mother of Donald, Carl and Larry, all of Waterloo and Tom, Brent and Brian, all of Kitchener. Blessed with 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. An accomplished artist and oil painter, she was always busy with her many hobbies. Marjorie was friendly and very generous with her many friends and family. She was a long time member of the Waterloo Naval Association. Friends are invited to share their memories of Marjorie with her family during visitation at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 621 King Street West, Kitchener today (Friday, September 16) from 2-4 and 7-9 p. m. The service to celebrate Marjorie's life will be held from the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel on Saturday, September 17 at 11 a. m. with Pastor James Brown officiating.
