    Percy J. Bruder Percy J. Bruder of 197 Douglas St., Waterloo, died suddenly Friday at K-W Hospital following a heart attack. He was 68.

    Born in Waterloo Township, near Maryhill, he was a son of Clements Bruder and the late Mrs. Bruder.

    A resident of the Twin Cities for 50 years he had been employed as a supervisor at Uniroyal Co. Ltd., general products division. He worked for Uniroyal for 44 years until retiring in 1967.

    For the past year he was a representative for the Fuller Brush Co. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, the Catholic Council of Men and the 55 Bowling Club.

    Besides his father, he is survived by his wife, the former Marie Hergott whom he married in Kitchener Oct. 7, 1937; one son, Clem of Kapuskasing; one daughter, Sister Miriam (Anne) of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, now attending the University of Windsor; two brothers, Allan (Bud) of Willowdale and Cyril of Winnipeg; four sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Violet) Murdock of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs Maitland (Hilda) Coleman, Mrs. Austin (Edna) Lehman and Mrs. Clarence (Verna) Hoch, all of Kitchener and three grandchildren.

    He was predeceased by a brother, Arthur.

    The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday, where the rosary will be recited Monday at 8 p.m. and prayers said Tuesday at 9: 30 a.m., followed by removal to the church for service at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.

    Donations to the Ontario Heart Foundation will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.

    Obituary of Verna Hoch

    Verna passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Sunday, January 9, 2011 in her 92nd year. She was a former resident of the Marian Residence in Cambridge.

    Predeceased by her husband, Clarence Hoch in 1996. Loving mother of Carol Rath and her husband James of Whitefish Falls, Ontario and Marilyn Gould and her husband Doug of Waterloo. Grandmother of Christine Bradley, Cathy Williams, Tom Saloman, Tracey Wilkin, Trevor Gould, Terry Rath, and Vicky Noble. Great-grandmother of Peggy, Taylor, Alyssa, Blake, Connor, Kierra, Karlie, Jesse, Nicola, Cory, Sarah, Eric, Brett, and Toby. Great-great-grandmother of Emily and Aava. Verna was very proud of her five-generation family.

    Predeceased by her parents, Clements and Odilia (Reinhardt) Bruder and seven brothers and sisters.

    Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Verna during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, January 12 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow the service at the funeral home.

    MARK LEHMAN 1963 - 2006 Mark died suddenly, as the result of an auto accident near Woodstock, on Tuesday, August 22, 2006. He was 43. Dear husband of Ellen (Madill) and loving father to his daughter Sydnie. Following the service in the chapel, friends and relatives are invited to the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshments and a time to visit with the family. A private family committal service will follow at Memory Gardens, Breslau. In memory of Mark, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be arranged through the funeral home. In living memory of Mark, a tree will be planted through the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
