    BLAKE, Albert E. -- At the K-W Hospital, on Tuesday, April 1, 1980, Albert E. Blake, age 79 years, of Breslau. Mr. Blake was born in North Cumberland County, England. He is survived by his wife, the former Vera Schaefer; four sons, Delbert, Douglas, Harold, and Roy, all of Kitchener; three daughters, Mrs. Lendo (Marjorie) Dermo of Guelph, Mrs. Marion Denomme of Kitchener and Mrs. Don (Ruby) Ueberchlag of Breslau. Brother of Joseph of Lucknow. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Resting at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, where family will receive friends from 2 -4 and 7 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday, The funeral services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home Thursday, at 2 p.m. p.m., Rev Edwin R. Sparks of Breslau Missionary Church officiating. Interment in Memory Gardens.

    Douglas Edwin Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at his home. Doug Blake in his 77th year was the beloved husband of Connie (nee Sauder) Blake of Kitchener. Loving father of Wendy Blake and her fiancé Robert Patrick of Seaforth and Jeffrey Blake and his wife Diane of Gardner, Mass.. Grandfather of Aleah, Andy, and Taylor. Dear brother of Delbert and his wife Francis Blake and Harold Blake and his wife Norma all of Kitchener, Marjorie and her husband Lendo Dermo of Guelph, Marion Denomme of Kitchener, Roy Blake and his wife Doris of New Hamburg and Ruby and her husband Donald Ueberschlag of Kitchener. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Vera (nee Schaefer) Blake and Albert Denomme. Doug's family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 PM Thursday at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (749-8467) and will continue from 10 '9611 AM followed by a funeral service at 11 AM Friday, March 26, 2004 in the chapel of the funeral home. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).

    :BLAKE, Roy Passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2012, at Grand River Hospital, K-W Health Centre, Kitchener. Roy resided in New Hamburg and was born 76 years ago in Breslau. He was the son of the late Albert and Vera (Schaefer) Blake. Beloved husband of Doris (Snider) Blake with whom he celebrated 53 years of marriage. Loving father of Bev and Steve Campbell of New Hamburg and Karen and Robert Sisko of California. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Kellie, Shae-Lynn and Michael. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Delbert and Francis Blake of Waterloo, Harold and Norma Blake of Kitchener, Marjorie Dermo of Guelph, Marion Denomme of Kitchener, Don Ueberschlag of Kitchener and sister-in-law Connie Blake of Seaforth. Roy was pre-deceased by his brother Doug Blake and sister Ruby Ueberschlag. Roy was a member of the New Hamburg Lawn Bowling Club. Roy enjoyed playing solo and euchre at the New Hamburg Legion, and also played shuffleboard at the MURF. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Roy's life will take place on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 3: 00 p.m. at the funeral home.     UEBERSCHLAG, Ruby Ilene (nee Blake) - Formerly of Breslau, passed peacefully at Lisaard House, Cambridge, on Sunday, December 23, 2007, after a courageous and dignified battle with cancer. The family honoured Ruby's wishes to keep her illness private. Loving wife of Donald Ueberschlag of Kitchener. Beloved mother of Dianne Wey (Kenneth) of Kitchener, Cathy Amos (Peter) of Waterloo, and Janet Ueberschlag (Martin Nessner) of Breslau. Cherished grandmother of Kevin and Christopher Thatcher, David, Stephen, and Sarah Amos (Justin Harding). Great-grandmother of Marley Harding. Daughter of the late Albert and Vera Blake. Daughter-in-law of the late Harold and Florence Ueberschlag. Survived by brothers, Delbert Blake (Frances) of Kitchener, Harold Blake (Norma) of Kitchener, and Roy Blake (Doris) of New Hamburg; sisters, Marjorie Dermo (Lendo) of Guelph and Marion Denomme of Kitchener; sister-in-law, Connie Blake of Kitchener and brother-in-law, Gerald Ueberschlag (Marlene) of Kitchener. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother, Douglas Blake; brother-in-law, Albert Denomme and niece, Judith Denomme. Ruby generously and selflessly gave of her time to help her family, and will be remembered for her stoicism, her sense of humour and wit. She enjoyed keeping up with world events and, in the past, earned badges for swimming and played bridge. Respecting Ruby's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements handled by Henry Walser Funeral Home . Inurnment at Memory Gardens, Breslau at a later date. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Casey and the staff and volunteers at Lisaard House for their outstanding care and compassion. Special thanks also to Dr. Donna Ward, the nurses and support workers co-ordinated from Community Care Access Centre, and Anne Winge, in-home hospice volunteer.
