Loving father of Marianne (Dan) Moogk and Stephen Massel. Predeceased by his wife, Therese (nee Lorentz) in 1986.     MASSEL, Raymond George March 27, 2012 Location: Waterloo MASSEL, Raymond George 1926 - 2012 Passed away, peacefully, after a lengthy illness, at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Guelph on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, in his 86th year. Ray was the beloved husband of Therese Lorentz who predeceased him in 1986. Loving father of Marianne (Dan) Moogk of Ingersoll and Stephen Massel of Waterloo. He was the proud grandfather of Jennifer (Michel) Lajoie and Jason Moogk, Christopher, Kristen, Angela and Nicholas Massel and three great-grandchildren, Logan and Chantelle Lajoie and Jordan Massel. Remembered by brother Ron Massel and wife Helen and sister-in-law Dona Massel, all of Kitchener. He was predeceased by his parents, Melinda (Kuntz) and George Massel and brother, Leon Massel. Ray retired from Dominion Life and Equitable Life in 1987 after 30 years of dedicated service. He was very active in the community and his church. Ray kept busy as a volunteer at the Adult Recreation Centre in Waterloo. For over 65 years, he was the director and organist of the church choirs at St. Louis RC and St. Agnes RC Churches. He was a member of St. Agnes Holy Name Society, a charter member of the Waterloo Knights of Columbus Council 5135, a former member of the Royal Canadian College of Organists, Grand Philharmonic Choir and the Kitchener-Waterloo Singers. Friends are invited to share their memories of Ray with his family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. Following the mass, friends and relatives are invited to the St. Louis Parish Hall for refreshments and a time to visit with the family. Cremation has taken place and interment will follow at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener. Condolences for the family and memorial donations to the St. Louis RC Church Maintenance Fund would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com
