    HALL, HELEN MARIE (NEE GOOD) - Went home to be with her precious Lord and Saviour, at the Delhi Nursing Home, on Sunday, March 2, 2003, in her 89th year. Helen was born in Kitchener in 1915, daughter of the late Edwin R. Good and the former Soleda Mae Eby. Helen spent most of her life in the Kitchener-Waterloo area until a few years ago, when she moved to Simcoe to be near her family. Helen is predeceased by her faithful and loving husband, the late Gordon Hall, in 1993; her son, James in 1986 and his wife Karen in 1995. Helen is survived by her daughter, Betty Smith and her husband Don of Simcoe and four grandchildren, Jimmy Hall and his wife Kathy of Petawawa; their daughter Samantha, David Hall of Niagara Falls, Jason Smith and his wife Karen of Simcoe; their daughter, Abbey and Allyson Smith, also of Simcoe. Helen is survived by her sister, Ruby Good of Toronto and a brother, Harold R. Good and his wife Audrey of Calgary. Predeceased by her sister, Evelyn Mackechnie and her brother, Edward R. Good. Helen was a faithful and active member of First United Church in Waterloo, having served on many committees. A life member of the United Church Women, Helen was also a member of the Board of Governors of St. Paul's United College and a member of the Board of Directors of Parkwood Manor Home for Senior Citizens. In her community, she was co-founder of the K-W Branch of the Canadian Diabetes Association and organized a group for parents of diabetic children and became director of a camp for diabetic Senior Citizens from across Ontario for many years. Helen served as chairperson for the Ontario Division of the CDA in 1967 and was a member of the National Association for more than a decade. Friends are invited to share their memories of Helen with her family at the Jason Smith Funeral Chapel, 689 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe for visitation on Tuesday, March 4, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Victor McWilliams officiating. Interment Conestogo Cemetery. Memorial donations payable to Word for Life Camp would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Smith Funeral Chapel (519) 426-0199.
