    Notes:

    Mrs. Henry S. Brubacher, 87, of Floradale, formerly of Elmira, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter Mrs. Henry W. Bauman after a short illness.

    She was the former Hannah Shantz, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Shantz of Maryborough Township. Her husband died in 1964.

    Surviving are six sons, Amos of Minden, Tobias, Ira and Irvine, all of RR 2, Wallenstein, Elmer and Emerson of Elmira; three daughters: Mrs. Henry W. (Rebecca) Bauman of Floradale, Mrs. Ed (Sarah) Buehler of RR 1, Elmira and Mrs. Thomas (Elvina) Martin of Copper Cliff; three brothers, Ozias Gingrich of Elmira, Amos Gingrich of RR 1, Waterloo and Nelson Gingrich of RR 4, Elmira; 35 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. ON daughter died in 1916.

    The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, until 9 am Friday when removal was made to the home of Emerson Brubacher for a service at 2 pm, Friday, thence to the Elmira Mennonite Meeting House for further service. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

    Brubacher, Amos S., son of Henry and Hanna (Shantz) Brubacher, was born in Waterloo Co., Ont., Sept. 24, 1908; died at Cambridge, Ont., Sept. 16, 1986; aged 77 y. On June 18, 1933, he was married to Luella Martin, who survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters (Margaret Frey, Elsie Martin, and Audrey) one son (Donald), 4 brothers (Tobias, Irvine, Elmer, and Emerson), and 3 sisters (Rebecca Bauman, Sarah Buehler, and Elvina Martin). In 1949 he was ordained to the ministry and served the Glen Allen and Minden Mennonite churches. Funeral services were held at Floradale Mennonite Church on Sept. 24, in charge of Virgil Gingrich, Allen Shantz, and Lester Kehl; interment in Floradale Mennonite Cemetery.

    Went home to be with his Lord, on Monday, Nov. 4, 1911, Tobias Brubacher, in his 81st year, of 37 Second St., Elmira. Beloved husband of Leah (Bauman) Brubacher, dear father of Florence and Noah Frey of Lucknow, Alice and Howard Martin of Brussels, Esther and Charles Nafziger of La Junta, Colo., Gerald and Martha Good of Elkhard, Ind. Tobias was predeceased by his daughter, Erla Good in 1977. Fondly remembered by his 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Brother of Irvine, Elmer, Emerson, Rebecca Bauman, Sarah Buehler and Elvina Martin. Predeceased by two brothers, Amos and Ira and one sister. Tobias was a member of the Glen Allan Mennonite Church. Friends may call at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, after 10 a.m., today (Wednesday) until Thursday at 12 noon. A public committal service will be held in the Glen Allan ccmetery, Thursday, at 1: 30 p.m., followed by public memorial service at the Floradale Mennonite Church at 2: 30 p.m., with Pastor Mark Hallman and Pastor Willard Metzger officiating.

Brubacher, in his 87th year, formerly of Floradale.Beloved husband of the late Lydia (Kraemer) Brubacher (January 1993). Dear father of Elaine and Lorne Bowman of Floradale, Nancy Smith of Kitchener. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Durrell and Sheila Bowman, Vicki and Matthew Smith. Brother of Emerson and Elvina Brubacher of Floradale and brother-in-law of Seleda Brubacher and Myra Brubacher. Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Hannah (Shantz) Brubacher; four brothers and four sisters.The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, today (Thursday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Friday, transfer will be made to Floradale Mennonite Church for memorial service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Fred Redekop officiating. The casket will be open at the church until 10: 45. Interment in Floradale Mennonite Cemetery.In his memory, donations to Mennonite Central Committee or Floradale Mennonite Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.

Cherished mother of Dr. Michael Charles Frey (Heather) of Ancaster and Sharon Elizabeth Hainer (Frey) of Germany. Loved and cherished Nana of her grandchildren Alysha Frey, Noah Hainer and Tobias Schuler. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Alice Martin (Howard) and Ester Nafziger (Charles). Predeceased by her husband Noah Frey, her sister Erla Brubacher as well as her parents Tobias and Leah Brubacher. Private family arrangements have been made. Condolences available online.     Friends called at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor. Elmira. after 7 p.m. Wednesday until Thursday morning at 10. a.m.. when removal was made to his house at Route 1, St. Jacobs, where a private service was held at 1 p.m.. on Thursday. Removal was then made to Martins Mennonite Meeting House for public service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.

    BRUBACHER, Carol Jeanette (nee Kraemer) - Peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Friday, April 18, 2008, age 33 years of RR1, Moorefield. Beloved wife of David Brubacher and loving mother to Austin, Riley, Tanner and Marissa all at home. She will be greatly missed by her parents, Ivan and Agnes Kraemer of RR1, St. Jacobs and her parents-in-law, Howard and Ella Brubacher of RR1, St. Jacobs. Lovingly remembered by her sisters and brother, Rosemary (Steve) Martin, Pauline (Leon) Brubacher, Joanne (Wayne) Freeman, Susan (Larry) Martin, Shirley (Arnold) Gingrich, Terry (Julie) Kraemer and Laurie (Leroy) Martin. She will also be missed by Dave's siblings, Gary (Merrie Lou) Brubacher, Rick (Aimee) Brubacher, Judy (Paul) Weber, Ross (Beverly) Brubacher, Steve (Gloria) Brubacher, Leroy (Connie) Brubacher, Brenda (Willis) Martin and Colleen Brubacher. Her memory will be cherished by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister in infancy and her brother, Brian. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Moorefield Mennonite Church on Monday, April 21 (today) from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22 at 10 a.m. with Pastors Paul Martin and Ed Biehn officiating followed by interment in Hollen Cemetery. In her memory, donations to the Gospel Echoes or the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. The families thank the wonderful teams at Grand River Cancer Centre and McMaster Medical Centre, Hamilton for the excellent care and compassion shown to her.
