    OBITUARY - JACOB BRAUN

    The death took place near Erbsville on Friday of Jacob Braun well known farmer in his 50th year He had been ill for some time and death was not entirely unexpected.

    The funeral will take place from the late residence on Sunday.

Surviving are two sons, Walter of Route 2, Wellesley and Austin of New Hamburg, four daughters Mrs. Ross (Erma) Brighton of Brussels, Mrs. Jerome (Rudy) White of Kitchener, Mrs. Kenneth (Doris) Sittler of St. Jacobs, Mrs. Gordon (Shirley) Pushelberg of Kitchener, one brother Nelson Braun of Waterloo, 23 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; predeceased by one brother. Resting at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home, New Hamburg, where friends will be received after 7 p.m. this evening. Visiting hours from 2-4 and 7-9 on Wednesday. Service at Trinity Lutheran Church Thursday at 3: 30. Burial in Woodlawn cemetery. Memorial contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

    Erma Adelaine (Fink) Brighton of Brussels, passed away at Huronlea Home for the Aged on Thursday, July 6th, 2006.
    Born in Preston on May 5th, 1920, Erma was in her 87th year.

    Beloved wife of the late Ross Brighton. Dear mother of Lloyd Brighton of Wingham, Ron Brighton and his wife Marg of Ariss, and Keith Brighton and his wife Ruth of Kitchener. Dear sister of Ruby White of Kitchener, Doris Sittler of St. Jacobs, and Shirley Pushelburg and her husband Gord of Kitchener. Also loved by her grandchildren, Rick, Terry, Mark, Trina, Patrick, and Brandy and by her great grandchildren Joshua, Dustin, Danielle, and Aaron.
    Predeceased by her son Roy, granddaughter Cathy, brothers Austin and Walter and daughter-in-law Joan.

    Friends were received by the family 2 hours prior to the funeral service conducted the Schimanski Family Funeral Home on Saturday, July 8th at 2:00 p.m. with Sandra Cable officiating.
    Burial took place in Brussels Cemetery.

    As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Brussels Legion No. 218 R.C.L.

    He was the son of the late Charles Fink and the late Suzanna Braun; was a member of St. Mary's Lutheran Church, Wellesley, also a member of the Nith Valley Conservation Club and the New Hamburg Legion, Branch No. 530; had served overseas with the Ordinance Corps, 1942 to 1945; had farmed in Wellesley Township, retiring several years ago.

    Beloved husband of Dorothy E. Pushelberg of RR 2, Wellesley; dear father of Douglas and his wife Valerie of Waterloo; brother of Austin Fink of New Hamburg and Erma (Mrs. Ross Brighton) of RR 2, Blyth, Ruby (Mrs. Jerome White) and Shirley (Mrs. Gordon Pushelberg), both of Kitchener, and Mrs. Doris Sittler of St. Jacobs. Lovingly remembered by three grandchildren, Tanya, Jeffery and Kristopher.

    Predeceased by two sons, Ernest, December 24, 1980 and Kenneth, January 23, 1982.

    Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, where the family will receive friends this evening from 7-9 and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. At noon Wednesday, September 11, removal will be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, for the service at 2: 30, Rev. Wilmer Minke will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery, Wellesley.

    AUSTIN E. FINK (AUSSIE)

    Peacefully, with family by his side, on Friday, Feb. 13, 1998, after a courageous battle with cancer, at St. Joseph's Hospital, London, Austin Fink, of New Hamburg. He was born in Wellesley 74 years ago, a son of the late Karl (Charlie) and Suzanna (Braun) Fink. Aussie had retired from Uniroyal Goodrich after 33 years of service and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg.

    He was an active member fo the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 532, New Hamburg where he had served as First Vice -President and had been a member of the Colour Guard. He had enlisted and served overseas in 1942 with the Royal Canadian Signal Corp during the Second World War.

    He was a member of the Restless Seniors, New Hamburg and a past member of the Wilmot Rod and Gun Club. Aussie was an avid golfer and enjoyed darts, cards, bowling and horseshoes as his hobbies. Beloved husband of Eva (formerly Cook & Seftel) Fink who predeceased him, November 13, 1988.

    Loving father of Warren and his wife Edie of Mount Forest; lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Tyler Fink, Katie, Mike and Kevin Fink.
    Predeceased by his beloved daughter, Judi in 1992. Dear brother of Doris Sittler of St. Jacobs, Ruby White of Kitchener, Irma Brighton of Brussels, Shirley and her husband Gord Pushelberg of Kitchener.

    Also remembered by his first wife, Doreen Seguin of RR 1, Moorefield and Donald and Shirley Cook of RR 1, Stratford, Gerald and Shirley Cook of Stratford, Ralph Cook and his friend Dorothy of New Hamburg. Austin was also predeceased by his brother, Walter Fink. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

    Monday, Feb. 16, 1998 at noon transfer will be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg for the service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Andre Lavergne officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Trinity Lutheran Church or the Legion Scholarship Fund. There will be a Legion Memorial service at the funeral home Sunday evening at 6: 30 p.m.

    RUBY WHITE (NEE Fink) 1928-2007 Ruby passed away, peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at the age of 79. Born June 13, 1928 in Wellesley, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Susanna (Braun) Fink. Ruby married Jerome White in 1947 who predeceased her in 1991. They had three children, Dale White (wife Mary), Susan Lewis, and David White. She was proud of her two grandchildren, Cheri Bilitz (husband Peter) and Jeffrey Lewis. She is survived by her sisters, Doris Sittler and Shirley Pushelberg (husband Gordon). Predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Austin Fink and one sister, Erma Brighton. Ruby opened her home to her many friends and relatives and will be sadly missed by all. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgeport where she was actively involved and will be greatly missed by all. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and participating in the ELW. Relatives and friends are invited to the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Wednesday, July 4 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service to celebrate Ruby's life and faith will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 544 Bridgeport Rd. E., Kitchener on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow the service in the church hall. Interment at Doon Presbyterian Cemetery, Mill Park Drive, Kitchener will follow the reception. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2001 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 22 Willow St., Waterloo. Following the service friends are invited to the church fellowship hall. Spring interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Erbsville.

In addition to his parents, two brothers, Lloyd Richard, four, and Ronald Kenneth, two, survive. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2: 30 from the Lippert-Gruhn Funeral Home.     It is with great sadness that the family of Dale Jerome White announce his passing on Thursday August 29th, 2019 at the age of 69 years after a courageous battle with cancer.

    Dale is predeceased by his parents Jerome and Ruby White (née Fink). He will be deeply missed by his wife Beverly, stepchildren; Mark Reynolds, Michelle Hubenig (Rod), grandkids; Ryan, Kalina and stepsister's in-law; Dorothy and Alvena Drobot. Forever remembered and cherished by his dear sister Susan Hannaberg (Perry) and brother David White. Also remembered by his niece Cheri Bilitz (Peter), nephew Jeffrey Lewis and his aunt Shirley Pushelberg (Gordon) and families. A special thank you to Ron Rausch and Luke Van Veen for being lifelong friends to the very end.

    Dale will be sadly missed by his relatives, co-workers and many friends which include Will Van Veen, Dale Burt and Roger Burt.

    Dale had many passions from music, playing in bands, photography and his love of travel. After his retirement from Lear Corporation (40 years) his relentless contributions to genealogy through Ancestry and Find a Grave will be available to all, in part with thanks to Dale.

    Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be interred at the family plot in Doon Presbyterian Cemetery, Kitchener. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 2pm - 4pm at Green Acres Park, 580 Beaver Creek Rd, Waterloo.

    I just wanted to let you know that Dale has passed away peacefully at Lissard House in Cambridge this morning at 2 am.. His sister, myself and two of his friends were there with him..

    SITTLER, Gary It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Gary Steven Sittler on Tuesday, February 24 2015, in his home in Fort Nelson, BC. He was 62 years old. Gary was born and raised in St. Jacobs, Ontario, and was a middle son of the late Ken and Doris Sittler. He was the dear brother of Linda, Ken (Bryn), Darryl (Luba), Debbie, Tim (Norma), Rod (Julie) and Jeff (Nancy). Gary was the beloved husband of 39 years of Sandy. Loving father of Jeremy (Deidre), of Fort Nelson, Krista (Fraser), of Prince George, and extremely proud grandfather of Kohen and Ava. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. He lived a life full of adventure, drawing him to many places and meeting many people who were very special to him. He played semi-pro hockey for 6 years in several places across the US. His love for the outdoors drew him to reside in Wawa, Ontario for 25 years and he instilled this passion for nature in his children and grandchildren. The forest industry brought him and his family to Fort Nelson in 1999; after working with Polarboard for many years, Gary enjoyed his last working years with the staff and students of School District #81 in the Maintenance Department. He always enjoyed his time hunting and fishing based out of his cabins and sharing these times with family and friends. The door was always open and if you could handle a little razzing, there was always fresh coffee and a fish frying on the woodstove. A Memorial Service will be held for Gary on Thursday, March 5 at 1:00 p.m. in the Northern Rockies Recreation Centre Community Hall. If desired, in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of a donation to the Fort Nelson Family Development Society, Fort Nelson Hospital Foundation - both in Fort Nelson, BC, or the Lady Dunn Health Center in Wawa, ON. A Celebration of Life will be held this summer in Ontario; date TBD.
