    BAUMAN, Laura (nee Martin) Passed away peacefully with her family by her side into the presence of her Lord on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Grand River Hospital, at the age of 77 years. Laura was the beloved wife for 57 years of Phares of Elmira. Dear mother of Richard and Norma of Floradale, Don, Rodney and Gloria, all of Elmira. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Scott and Lisa; Ryan and Kyle; Alana and Carly. Sister of Harold Martin of Nairn, Willard and Karen of Elmira, Bruce and Kathy of Cambridge. Laura will be fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends. Predeceased by her parents Manasseh and Minerva (Gingrich) Martin and by her brothers Paul and Earl. Laura enjoyed her time spent at the MCC Thrift Store in Elmira, making many quilts to be sold for MCC Relief Sales in New Hamburg and Washington State, and cooking for her family. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Floradale Mennonite Church, 22 Florapine Road on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. only. The casket will remain open at the church on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 2-2:45 p.m. where funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. In Laura's memory, donations to Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.     EARL MARTIN

    After a lengthy illness, Earl Martin of RR 4 Elmira, died Tuesday, July 16, at K-W Hospital.

    A son of Mr. and Mrs. Manasseh Martin, he was born in Woolwich Township, Feb, 3 1942.

    Surviving, besides his parents are four brothers, Paul, Harold, Willard, Bruce and a sister Laura all at home and his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Gingrich.

    Funeral was conducted on Thursday at 3:00 p.m., in Elmira Mennonite Church. The "body rested at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor here until 1 p.m. Thursday when removal was made to the church.

    Burial was In the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Howard S. Bauman officiated.

    Passed away peacefully, at his home, while surrounded by his family and close friends, on Thursday, November 11, 2004. Jim was 57. Beloved husband and best friend of Bonnie (Albrecht) for 33 years. Jim was a devoted and loving father to Tara of Toronto and Jason of Waterloo. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Matilda Gingrich of Elmira; brother and sisters, Florence and Darrel Jantzi, Pauline and Allen Martin, Cliff and Yvonne Gingrich, Carol and Dalton Jantzi and Darlene and Eric Frede. Jim will also be fondly remembered by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lucille and Harry Albrecht of Kitchener; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jay Albrecht and Sylke Spiller, Darlene and Dwight Gingrich, Roger Albrecht, Marilew Albrecht and Steve Martin, Matthew Albrecht and Meagan Earle; his nieces and nephews and many dear and special friends. He was predeceased by his father, Ivan Gingrich; brother, Larry Gingrich and brother-in-law, Tim Albrecht. Jim lived his life with integrity. He showed us compassion and acceptance and what it meant to be a friend. He will be remembered for his vibrant personality, adventurous spirit and passion for life. His friendship will be missed. Jim was a dedicated employee of Decortile Ltd. in St. Jacobs for nearly 30 years where he was Project Manager. He was active at Erb Street Mennonite Church where he was a former chair of the Board of Property and very involved in the recent building project. Jim loved being on the water and especially enjoyed the last two summers sailing with his family aboard his sailboat, "Home Free." Friends are invited to share their memories of Jim with his family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, today (Saturday) and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The service to celebrate Jim's life will be held at Erb Street Mennonite Church, 131 Erb Street West, Waterloo, on Monday, November 15, 2004 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Eleanor Epp-Stobbe officiating. Cremation has taken lace. Following the service, friends and relatives are invited to join the family for the committal service at Erb Street Mennonite Cemetery.
