    J. HOWARD EBY 1921 - 2006

    Howard entered the presence of the Lord, on Thursday, September 14, 2006, at the age of 85. He passed away, peacefully, after a brief stay at St. Mary's General Hospital. Beloved husband of Annie (nee Eunson) for 61 wonderful years. Dear father of Nancy Teichroeb (Wally) of Waterloo, Bette Terrel (Patrick) of Woodbridge, John Eby (Laureen) of RR 4, Listowel, Jim Eby (Ruth), David Eby (Sue) and Faith Eby, all of RR 1, Waterloo. Fondly remembered by 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Marie Potz (Elmer) of Kitchener and Mabel Olney (Edgar) of Winnipeg and brother-in-law of Ruth Eby of Waterloo. Predeceased by his parents, Irvin and Olive (Weber) Eby and his brother, George Eby. Howard was a longstanding elder of Northside Community Church in Kitchener. He farmed for most of his life near St. Jacobs and was a member of the Canadian Guernsey Association. Friends are invited to share memories of Howard with his family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Saturday, September 16 from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, September 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A committal service will be held on Monday, September 18 at 10 a.m. at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. The memorial service will be held at Northside Community Church, 55 Leonard St., Kitchener, at 11 a.m., Monday with Rev. Vernon Trafford officiating. Reception to follow at the church. As expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Northside Community Church, the Tourette Syndrome Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice. Donations may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com. In living memory of Howard, a tree will be planted by the funeral home through the Trees for Learning Program.
