    STANLEY RICKERT

    Ill only two days, Stanley Rickert, prominent dairyman, died at St. Mary's Hospital here today in his 45th year. A vericose vein in the esophagus-food passage of the throat-a very rare condition, hemorrhaged and two blood transfusions given by city firemen Ross Allison and Lieut. Stanley Degen failed to aid Mr. Rickert, it is reported.

    The deceased had intended to appear before the Board of Health today to protest the daylight delivery of milk in the city.

    A dairyman since 1915, Mr. Rickert was a son of Mrs. Menno Rickert and the late Mr. Rickert. He was born at Mannheim, on May 10, 1893. The deceased moved to Kitchener 34 years ago and helped his father with the dairy. He attended Suddaby and Courtland schools.

    Mr. Rickert was a member of the St. John's Anglican church, also the Grand River A.F. and A.M. lodge, the Kitchener chapter, Royal Arch Masons, Vallette Preceptory (mar shall of Preceptory). Mocha Temple and Knights of Pythias.

    Surviving are his widow, nee Kathrine Ellis, his mother, two children, Ellis of Kitchener and Betty at home, two brothers, Milton of Greeley, Colo., and Morley of Kitchener, one sister, Mrs. R. Fortner, of Toronto.

    The remains are at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home.

    St. George's Anglican church, Guelph, was the scene of a pretty wedding this afternoon when Miss Mary (Mollie) Warner, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Norris Warner of Toronto, became the bride of Mr. S. Ellis Rickert, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Rickert of Kitchener.

    The young people were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Gordon L. Finck of this city.

    After the ceremony the bridal party returned to Kitchener where a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bridegroom's parents.
    After the dinner Mr. and Mrs. Rickert left by motor to spend their honeymoon in the Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.
    Upon their return they will take up residence in Kitchener.

    HALLMAN, William (Bill) and HALLMAN, Bette (nee Rickert) - We would like to share the passing of a kind and gentle man and his sweet and loving lady. William Wesley Hallman, of 65 Church St., Kitchener, passed away, on Saturday, Nov. 8, 1997 and was soon joined in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Bette Hallman, on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1997, after courageous battles with cancer. Both were in residence at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital William and Bette are the beloved parents of Rodger and Richard, their wives, Carol and Tina, and grandparents to their children, Theodore, Christine, Charity and Michael. They are also survived by Bette's brother, Stanley Ellis Rickert of Acton and by nieces, Claudia, Lynn and Denise and nephew, Stanley and their children. William was predeceased by his parents, Wesley Hallman and the former Vera Becker. Bette was predeceased by her parents, Stanley Rickert and the former Katherine Ellis. Visitation at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener, today (Wednesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997 at 2: 30 p.m., Pastor Manfred Strauss officiating. Cremation.
