    Notes:

    Kipfer.- Cyranius, son of Nicolaus and Magdalena (Albrecht) Kipfer, was born at Milverton, Ont., Nov. 25, 1899; died at Nithview Home, New Hamburg, Ont., Nov. 21, 1989; aged nearly 90. He was married to Lena Lichti, who died on Jan. 1, 1987. Also surviving are 6 sons (Wilbur, Walter, Edward, Lester, James, and Ray), 2 daughters (Esther Haunn and Marie Gingerich), 23 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchilden, and 4 sisters (Laura Litwiller, Melinda Hostettler, Freda Zehr, and Gertrude Leis). He was preceded in death by 3 sons (Charles, Robert, and Harold). He was a member of Steinmann Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Nov. 23, in charge of Fred Lichti and Vernon Zehr; interment in Riverside Cemetery.

    Cyranius married Magdalena "Lena" Lichti 15 Feb 1918. Magdalena (daughter of Joseph F. Lichti and Barbara G. Erb) was born 22 Apr 1900, Wilmot Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 1 Jan 1987, New Hamburg, Wilmot Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried , Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.     KIPFER, HAROLD W.

    At Mattawa General Hospital, on Monday, May 18, 1987, suddenly as the result of a heart attack, Harold Wilfred Kipfer, of 35 Rex Drive, Kitchener, aged 67 years.

    He had been employed as a foreman for Electrohome Limited, until his retirement in 1984, having been with Electrohome for 46 years.

    He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of Electrohome Limited and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

    Husband of the former Elizabeth Rodina; son of Serenus of New Hamburg; father of Paul of Kitchener; brother of Wilbur of Mattawa, Walter of Wilmot Centre, Edward, Lester and Ray, all of Kitchener, Jim of Tonawanda, N.Y., Esther (Mrs. Ernie Hahn) and Marie (Mrs. Stanley Gingerich) both of New Hamburg.

    Five grandchildren also survive, Christopher, Michael, John, Anthony and Kelly.

    Predeceased by his mother, this year and two brothers, Robert and Charles.

    Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. this evening (Wednesday) where the Loyal Order of the Moose will have a service on Thursday evening at 8 p.m.

    Funeral service will be held from the chapel on Friday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Glenn Brubacher officiating.

    Interment will be in Memory Gardens cemetery.

    Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario may be made as expressions of sympathy.

    Lester Kipfer
    1933 - 2019

    Passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2019 at the age of 86 years. Recently predeceased by his loving wife Marie Kipfer. Dear father of Randy (Cathy), Tim and Jason (Jacqui). Cherished grandfather of Joe, Jeff, Alannah and Max and great grandpa to Kayden and Kayla. Survived by his siblings Esther Haunn (the late Ernest), Marie Gingerich (Stanley) and Ray Kipfer (Mary). Predeceased by his parents Cyranius Kipfer and Lena Kipfer (nee Lichty) and siblings Harold Kipfer (Elizabeth), Wilber Kipfer (Gabrielle), Robert Kipfer, Walter Kipfer (Beatrice), Edward Kipfer (Jewell) and James Kipfer(Janet).

    Friends are invited to share their memories of Les with his family during visitation at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Monday, May 27, 2019 from 6-8pm and on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 9-9:45am followed by a funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home at 10am. Reception will be held in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment will be held in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. In memory of Lester, condolences and donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated and can be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or (519) 745-8445.
