    JOHN ALISON A lifelong resident of Galt and district passed away early today in the person of John Alison, 51 Cambridge street, in. his 74th year. He had been in poor health in recent years. Mr. Alison was born in Galt and was a son of the late Thomas Alison. He was associated in the butcher business and later as a drover for most of his life. Some years ago Mr. Alison served on the North Dumfries township council and was a member of the Galt Suburban Roads Commission at the time of his death. He was a past president of the South Waterloo Agricultural Society and an honorary director of the society. He was a life member of Galt Lodge A.F. and A.M. and a member of Knox's Presbyterian church. He was predeceased by a brother, William and a sister, Mrs. George Hancock. Surviving are his wife the former Mary Lockie, one daughter, Mrs. J. M. McGrigor and one son John at home; two sisters, Miss Mary Alison , and Mrs. Wm. Birss, both of Galt. and one granddaughter, Miss Nora) McGrigor of Galt. Friends are being received at the T. Little and Son Funeral Home., 39 Grand avenue north where the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2.30 p.m. with interment in Mount View Cemetery.
