    KIMPEL, Mrs. Edward (Julia) At St. Mary's Hospital, on Saturday, Aug. 27, 1983, after a lengthy illness, Julia Mary Lautenschlager, of 58 Theresa St., Kitchener aged 70 years.

    Mrs. Kimpel was born in Wilmot township; a daughter of the late Arthur Lautenschlager and the former Clara Diebel and was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.

    She was predeceased by her husband, Edward, December 30, 1976 and by one sister. Emma. Survived by seven sons, Laverne Battler, Robert Kimpel of Alberta, Walter and Harold, at home, Gordon of Alberta, Dennis of London, Ont. and Wayne of Kitchener; two daughters, Beverley (Mrs. Eiji Tatsumi) of Winnipeg, Carol (Mrs. Frederick Parson) of Kitchener; sister of Omar Lautenschlager of Kitchener, Arlene (Mrs. Clayton Schaefer) of Kitchener Mrs. Greta Schaefer of Waterloo and Mildred (Mrs. Albert Becker) of New Dundee. Fondly remembered by her nine grandchildren.

    Friends called at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W. Kitchener. Funeral and committal service in the chapel, was today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Lee Thompson officiating. Interment St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery.

Mrs. Schafer was a member of the Breslau Missionary Church and the Breithaupt Senior Citizens. Devoted wife of Clayton Schafer; loved dearly by Percy and his wife Donna of Kitchener and Kim and her husband Bernd Horn of London, Ont.; sister of Omer Lautenschlager of Kitchener, Greta (Mrs. Schaefer) of Waterloo and Mildred (Mrs. Albert Becker) of New Dundee; loving grandmother of Carrie, Corey and Calli.     SCHAEFER, Greta - Passed away, peacefully, at St. Mary's General Hospital on Thursday November 14, 2002 at the age of 80 years. Greta was predeceased by her husband Loren in 1974. Loving mother of Frances and her husband Richard Brinkert of Chatsworth, Jane and her husband Robert Harrison of Stoney Creek, David and his wife Joan of Arkansas, USA and Jeffrey of Waterloo. Proud and loving grandmother of Lori and her husband Jim Krall of Kitchener, Mark of Waterloo, Melissa and her husband Robert Goulet of Grimsby, Matthew and Miranda of Stoney Creek and Kaitlin of Arkansas. USA and great-grandmother of Mitchell, Victoria and Spencer. Also survived by her sister, Mildred and her husband Albert Becker of Tavistock and sisters-in-law, Gertrude Schaefer of Ayr and Velma Schaefer of Waterloo and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters, Julia. Emma and Arlene and brother Omar. Mrs. Schaefers family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South Waterloo on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday November 19, 2002 at 10 am. Following the interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau, relatives and friends are invited to the Reception Room of the funeral home. In Greta's memory, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
