    Schenk, Herman - At his late residence, 164 Louisa St., Kitchener, on Sunday, Oct. 21, 1973, in his 88th year, Herman Schenk, a retired self-employed carpenter, a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran church, the Loyal Order of Moose and the Legion of the Moose, son of the late Henry Schenk and Wilhelmine Alles; husband of the late Lucinda Grody; father of Rev. Alfred J. Schenk of Gettysburg, Pa., Weyburn H. of Kitchener and Arthur H. of Waterloo; brother of William of Kitchener; also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; predeceased by one son, Lloyd, two daughters and seven brothers. Resting at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton St., Kitchener, for service and committal on Tuesday at 3: 30 pm, Rev. Harold Brill officiating. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.

    At St. Mary's Hospital, on Friday, September 10, 2004, at age 86.

    Beloved husband of the late Freda (Polfuss) Schenk; dear father of Jean and Ken Arnett; loving grandfather, of Harold and Melissa Arnett, all of Waterloo. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

    Predeceased by brothers, Alfred, Arthur, and Lloyd.

    Friends are invited to share their Memories of Weyburn with his family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, September 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Weyburn's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, September 13 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Michael Hackbush officiating. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home. Interment in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau.

    Schenk, Arthur Herman - Died at Victoria Hospital, London, Ont., on Friday, Aug. 19, 1994, in his 75th year.

    Arthur was a retired custodian with the Waterloo County Board of Education and a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.

    He is survived by his brother Weyburn and his wife Freda Schenk of Kitchener; is niece, Jean and her husband Ken Arnett and their children, Harold and Melissa.

    Predeceased by his wife, Anne (Riem); his parents, Herman and Lucinda (Grody) Schenk and two brothers, Lloyd and Alfred.

    Mr. Schenk's family will receive friends at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener 7-9 pm today (Saturday) and 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday. Complete funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, Aug. 22, 1994 at 2 pm. Interment Parkview Cemetery.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian cancer Society, 75 King St. S., Suite 622, Waterloo, N2J 1P2 would be appreciated by the family.

    A reception will be held in the funeral home following the service.

    Peacefully passed away at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at the age of 71 years. Beloved wife of Kenneth for over 46 years. Dear mother of Harold (Kate) and Melissa. Cherished grandma of the late Rory and Ruth, also Lisa, Edward, Brooklyn and to great grandson Dréson. Predeceased by her parents Weyburn and Freda Schenk and by many relatives.

    Jean was a former cook at Parkwood Manor and Wilfrid Laurier University which she loved and where she made lifelong friends. After having children of her own, she became a lunchroom supervisor with Harold W. Wagner Public School. She was an avid community liaison for Bluevale Collegiate and enjoyed crocheting blankets for many new babies and adults alike. Jean volunteered her time with Silver Spoons and at First United Church.

    The Arnett family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo on Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 3-5pm & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at First United Church, Waterloo at 11am. A Livestream of the funeral service will be available at www.erbgood.com Interment will follow at Memory Gardens, Breslau. A Celebration of Life will be held in the future. Thank you to the frontline workers of Waterloo Region for their care of Jean and her family.
