Herman Witzel - Herman Witzel, 108 Pandora Ave. N., died Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 79. Born in Wilmot Township, Sept. 8, 1889, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Witzel. He lived in Kitchener for 56 years. He was a member of Trinity Untied Church and had been employed by the Equitable Life Insurance Co. of Canada Ltd. until his retirement in 1959. His wife, the former Agnes Meisel, died Oct. 2, 1961. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. A.F. (Verna) Fraser of Marmora and Audrey Witzel of Kitchener; one brother, Henry of Kitchener; one sister, Mrs. Jack (Louise) Harman of Arthur; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home for services Tuesday at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Frank Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Notes:

Died peacefully in her sleep, after a short illness, at St. Mary's Hospital on Thursday, May 2, 2002 at the age of 85 years. Audrey was a lifelong resident of Kitchener.

She was a longtime member of Trinity United Church and until retirement was a dedicated employee of Merchants Rubber.
Dear aunt of Sandy & Joyce Fraser and Judy Collins. Audrey will be missed by her many friends.
Predeceased by her parents, Herman & Agnes (Meisel) Witzel and her sister, Verna Fraser.
At Audreys' request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

She will be buried in Woodland Cemetery with her parents.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Mary's Hospital or the Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated and can be arranged through the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener.
