    SCHENK, Louisa - Peacefully, at St. Mary's Hospital, on Monday, Oct. 13, 1986, the former Louisa Knipfel, of Central Park Lodge, formerly of Waterloo Street, Kitchener, aged 96 years.

    She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church; she was born near Petersburg.

    Lovingly remembered by her children, Wilfred and his wife Natalie and Mrs. Margaret Strebel, both of Kitchener, Clarence and his wife Ariel of Waterloo, Irene (Mrs. Robert Pergentile) of Stoney Creek. Sister of Mrs. Augusta Lautenschlager of Florida. Fondly remembered by nine grandchildren, Sandra, Kenneth, Carol, Ruth, John, Suzanne, Margo, Daniel and Samuel. Thirteen great-grandchildren also survive. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

    Predeceased by her parents; her husband, John, in 1942; five brothers, John, Edward, Frederick, Otto and Henry.

    Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. this evening (Tuesday) until noon on Thursday, when removal will be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Queen Street, where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., with Pastor Roger Winger officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery.

    WILFRED GEORGE SCHENK

    Passed away October 24, 2010 at The Westmount LTC in Kitchener, at the age of 95. Predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Natalie, by his daughter Sandra, and his brother Clarence. Survived by his sisters Margaret and Irene, and his son Kenneth. Wilfred was a lifelong member of Historic St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He was a flight lieutenant and bomber pilot in World War II, and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He worked at Uniroyal for 34 yrs, and enjoyed fishing and the family cottage into his retirement. Heartfelt gratitude to all the wonderful staff at The Westmount LTC, whose kindness and loving care made his final year a pleasant one. Wilfred will be sadly missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 28, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. followed by Funeral at 11:00 a.m. at Historic St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 137 Queen St. South in Kitchener. Interment at 12 noon at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery on Weber Street in Kitchener.
