    Swartzentruber, Lester James \endash Passed away, suddenly, at his residence in Petersburg, on Sunday, June 18, 1995.

    He was born in Wilmot township 76 years ago, a son of the late Joseph and Barbara (Yantzi) Swartzentruber. He was a member of St. Agatha Mennonite Church and had owned and operated L.J. Swartzentruber Trucking prior to retirement. Lester enjoyed talking with people, hockey and reading as his hobbies.

    Beloved husband of Erma (Roth) whom he married April 28, 1945. Loving father of Linda and her husband Brian Greer of Mannheim, Sandra and her husband Douglas Streit of Kitchener. Special grandfather to Christine, Steven, Amy, Jeff and Tim. Dear brother of Lloyd and his wife Ida, Ray and his wife Jean, all of Waterloo, Omar and his wife Ada of New Hamburg. Also remembered by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin Erb, Elmina Schwartzentruber, both of New Hamburg, Selena Wagler of Baden, Elmer and Annie Roth of RR 2, Baden.

    He was predeceased by one son in infancy; one brother, Glen as a child and one sister Edith Erb in 1990.

    Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, today (Monday) from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Transfer will be made Wednesday, June 21, 1995, at noon, to St. Agatha Mennonite Church for the service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Emanuel George and Pastor Steve Gerber officiating. Burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or the K-W Hospital Coronary Care Unit.

    Obituary of Lloyd Schwartzentruber

    January 11, 1924 - December 1, 2018


    Lloyd passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at the Hanover Village LTC, on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the age of 94.

    Beloved husband of Ida (nee Shantz) for 64 years. Loving father of Gail Veitch (Elvin Martin). Cherished grandfather and great-grandfather of Graham (Lindsay) and their children Bryson and Sloane, Bryan (Holly) and their children Zac and Raya, and Katie (Chris) Armstrong and their son Sam. Will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law Jean Swartzentruber, Helen Shantz and Marie Shantz.

    Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Barbara (nee Jantzi) Schwartzentruber; brother of Lester (Erma), Ray, Omar (Ada), Glen as a child and Edith (Mel) Erb. Brother-in-law of Howard (Hilda), Wilfred (Selda), Armand (Irene), Nyal (Helen), Etta (Lloyd) Shantz, Robert (Lena), Mahlon, Ion, Arley (Mabel), and Esther (Aaron) Enns.

    Lloyd was a longtime member of Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, Kitchener.

    Friends are invited to celebrate Lloyd's life and share memories with his family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Friday, December 7, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

    A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. Reception to immediately follow in the Fireside Reception Room.

    ECKENSWEILER, Karolyn Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at the age of 63. Beloved wife of Robert for 30 years. Loving mother to Jonathan Lebold and stepmother to Debra Garlock and Steven (Su). Proud grandmother to Ivory, Claire, Holly, Kara, Chelsea and Gavin. Much loved sister to Marlene (Gerry), Donna (Steve) and Richard (Sue), and sister-in-law to Bill. Predeceased by first husband David Lebold (1973), parents Melvin and Edith Erb and sister Shirley Bard. Karolyn was an avid gardener and reader and will be missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to thank CCAC for their care and compassion and special thanks to Rev. Jane Leslie. Karolyn's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 2-2:45 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
