Funeral of Mrs. Wahl Well Attended

COALDALE (HNS) To pay their last respects to a Coaldale oldtimer, many Coaldale residents attended the burial service for the late Mrs. Lucinda Wahl, who followed her husband, the late William Wahl, within thirteen months of the latter's demise.

Rev. H. A. Mutchmor officiated with W. Tamagi assisting, the latter also singing two solos, "After the Day is Done," and "Beyond the G. Braun accom Sunset," Mrs. G. Braun panying at the organ.

Many floral tributes were in evidence and pallbearers were J. E. Smith, L. Fairhurst, R. B. Greer, Harry Proudley, George Peck and
Fred Pearson, all old-time friends of deceased.

The comforting words of Mr. Tamagi were based on Chapter 14 of "John" verse 18, "I will not leave you comfortless I will come to you."
Interment took place in Mountain View cemetery, Lethbridge, with Christensen Bros. in charge.

Many Iriends and relatives gathered at Southminster Unlled Church Saturday afternoon to pay final tribute to Harlous Peppler Ober, 76, of 2010 5th Ave. S.. a retired farmer and a long-lime resident of Coaldale, who died in the city last Tuesday.

Rev. Nelson Mercer officiated at the service. Pallbearers were Frid King, A. Jamieson, Carl McCann. Frank Knapp, W. S. Giffen and Harry Hicks.

Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery. with Martin Bros. In charge of funeral arrangements.

H. P. Ober Passes at 76

The death of Harlous Peppler Ober, 16, of 2019 5th Ave. S., a long time resident of Southern Alberta, occurred in the city Tuesday after a lengthy illness,

Mr. Ober was a retired farmer. Born in Ontario, and employed with the Grand Trunk Railway In Ontario from 1896 until 1909, he moved
to Coaldale In 1909 where he farmed unlll his retirement in 1941. Upon retirement, he moved lo Vancouver, but returned to Lethbridge in Janary of this year.

He was a member of the United Church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Margaret Ober, three sons In Coaldale and one in Chilliwack, B.C.; 15 grandchlidren and one great grand child.

Funeral arrangements will be announced when completed by Martin Bros, directors of the funeral service.

Mrs George Hahn of Elmira, who was born at Petersburg in 1881. died last Friday at the age of 86.

The former Emma Ober. she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Casper Ober

Mrs Hahn was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church. Elmira.

She was predeceased by her husband in 1941: six sisters and three brothers.

Surviving are two sons. Arthur of Elmira and Cary of St. Mary's: one daughter. Mrs. Leonard (Helen) Rau of Kitchener and six grandchildren.

Services were conducted at the Dreisinger Funeral Home in Elmira by Rev D. A. Fritz.

Burial took place in the Elmira cemetery.

A lifelong resident of this area, Mrs. Lorne D. Oberholtzer, 66, died Tuesday at her home in Kitchener after a long illness.

The former Agnes Ober, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Ober, she was born in Petersburg April 19,1890.

She was married in Kitchener Oct. 4, 1910. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and of Brilliant Rebekah Lodge, Kitchener.

Surviving besides her husband are one son, Lyle D. of Kitchener; two brothers, Charles Ober of Mitchell and Alex Ober of Mission, B. C.; two sisters Mrs. Erma Hahn and Mrs. William Keil both of Elmira and one grandson. A daughter, Lucille, four sisters and a brother predeceased her.
