    MENNO B. BOWMAN

    Menno B. Bowman, 83, of RR 1, Elmira, died Saturday, April 29 at K-W Hospital.

    He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bowman of Woolwich Township.

    He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Elizabeth Brubacher, in 1914. His second wife, Eliza Martin died in 1937. His third wife, Rebecca Martin, survives.

    Also surviving are six sons. Levi of RR 2. Wallenstein; Elias of RR 1. Wallenstein; Jesse of RR 1, St. Jacobs; Henry of RR 1. Alma; Aaron of St. Thomas, John of RR 1. Elmira; one daughter, Mrs. Angus (Lydia) Weber; 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Two sons predeceased him.

    The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira. The funeral was held Tuesday at his home followed by a service and burial in North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House.

    Jacob B. Bowman, 52, of RR 1, St. Jacobs, died at K-W Hospital after a linger illness.

    His wife the former Leavea Frey, survives.

    Other survivors are two sons, Nelson and John and two daughters, Mary and Annie, all at home.

    The body rested at the residence where a service was conducted Saturday at 9 a.m. Removal was made to Martin's Mennonite Meeting House, north of Waterloo, for service and burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

    Bowman, Henry B., son of Menno and Lizzie (Brubacher) Bowman, was born in Woolwich Twp., Ont., July 9, 1909; died at Cambridge (Ont.) Memorial Hospital, Dec. 27, 1989; aged 80. On Feb. 14, 1942, he was married to Hope Gingrich, who survives. Also surviving are one son (Robert), 3 daughters (Shirley Geiser, Gwen Albrecht, and Beatrice Shantz), one brother (Elias), and one half sister (Lydia Weber). He was preceded in death by one infant daughter (Iris). He was a member of Moorefield Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held at Preston Mennonite Church on Dec. 30, in charge of Dale Bauman and Amzie Brubacher; interment in Berea Mennonite Cemetery.

    Friends may call at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Weber, Route 1, Elmira, from where the funeral will be held on Thursday, April 4, at 9 a.m. removal will then be made to the North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Father of Esther and David Martin of Wallenstein, Nancy and Alvin Gingrich of Lindsay, MaryAnn and Mervin Martin of RR 4, Listowel, Lovina and Josiah Weber of RR 4, Listowel, and Henry and Ada Bowman of Hawkesville. Grandfather of 29 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Survived by his siblings Mary Bowman, Annie Bowman, and John and Nancy Bowman, all of Linwood, and sister-in-law Nancy Martin of Hawkesville. Predeceased by his son Levi (2017) and his parents Jacob and Leavea (Frey) Bowman. Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 2-6 p.m. and will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 from 1-5 p.m. at his home, 3727 Ament Line, Hawkesville. A family service will take place at his home on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 9 a.m., then to Linwood Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.

    BOWMAN, George B. Passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at the age of 80 years. George Bowman, of Wallenstein, was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Rudy) Bowman (2007). Father of Sarah Bowman of Kitchener; Malinda and Annie Bowman both of Elmira; Saloma Bowman of Milverton; Samuel and Ellen Bowman of Wallenstein; John and Pauline Bowman of RR#3, Listowel; Rebecca, Elvina and Louisa Bowman, and Joseph and Elaine Bowman all of Wallenstein; and Esther Bowman of West Montrose. Grandfather of 16 grandchildren. Brother of Ada and Daniel Martin and Samuel B. and Melinda Bowman, both of RR#1, Wallenstein; and Selina Martin of Elmira. Brother-in-law of Lydia Bowman of Listowel; and Lucinda Bowman of Wallenstein. Predeceased by his parents Elias and Rachel Bowman, brothers Josiah and Menno and two in infancy, and a brother-in-law Edward Martin. The family will receive their relatives and friends on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 2-6 p.m. at 6391 Side Road 19, RR#1, Wallenstein where a family service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 9 a.m. with interment and further service to be held at South Peel Mennonite Meeting House, RR#1, Wallenstein.
