    MRS. ALEXANDER LIVINGSTON

    Mrs. Alexander Livingston of RR 1. London. Ont., formerly of Baden, died suddenly Monday at Victoria Hospital. London. She was 90

    The former Maude Witte. Mrs. Livingston was born in Ailsa Craig. July 17, 1878, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Witte. She had lived in Baden for more than 50 years, until she moved to RR 1, London. Ont., 18 years ago to live with her daughter. She was a member of Livingston Presbyterian Church, Baden.

    Her husband predeceased her 18 years ago. Surviving are two sons. Earle of Baden and Douglas of Thornbury; one daughter. Mrs. Lester K. (Grace) Ash. RR 1, London. Ont.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, Ross, and one sister.

    LIVINGSTON, J. Douglas (Doug) - Doug Livingston passed away peacefully, at Meaford Long Term Care Centre, on January 27, 2009, in his 91st year. A long-time resident of Thornbury, he was born and raised in Baden, Ontario. He was predeceased by his much loved wife of more than fifty years, Kay of Old Windsor, England; his parents, Alex and Maude of Baden and his brothers, Ross and Earl and sister, Grace. Doug will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Livingston of Kitchener and Peggy Jones of Guildford, England and many nieces and nephews and their families. Doug was a veteran of the Second World War and a keen fisherman. He will be remembered as a kind, generous and gentle man. In keeping with Doug's wishes, cremation has taken place.
