    Noah B. Martin

    Funeral service was scheduled for this morning, (Wednesday) at 9am at the home of Noah B. Martin....Wallenstein. Further service and burial follows at Olivet Mennonite meeting house.

    Mr. Martin died Sunday at his home at the age of 88. He was the husband of the former Salome Gingrich: father of Angus and Leah (Mrs. Melvin Brubacher). both of RR2 Wallenstein: grandfather of 18, great-grandfather of 8. He was predeased by a daughter. four brothers and a sister.

    Amos B. Martin of Elmira died July 22 at Heritage House, St. Jacobs, after a brief illness. He was 80. Mr. Martin was born in Woolwich Township and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Moses Martin. He was a member of the Elmira congregation of the Jehovah Witnesses. Surviving are two sons Cleason of RR 2, Drayton and Onias of RR 2, Elmira, five daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Adeline) Bauman of RR 1, West Montrose, Mrs. Oziah (Malinda) Martin of RR 1, St. Jacobs, Mrs. Howard (Aleda) Reist of Floradale, Mrs. Harvey S. (Ermma) Martin of RR 1 Elmira and Mrs. Cecil (Perceda) Musselman of Elmira, one brother Noah of RR 2, Wallenstein; 37 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Elvina Bauman in 1965 and by three brothers and one sister. The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira where the service was held in the chapel July 25. Burial was in Elmira Mennonite cemetery.

    Floradale
    On Saturday, Feb. 15, there died in Peel Township, a short distance from here, Mariana Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Martin, of nervous prostration, resulting from an attack of influenza. Her earthly remains were interred in the local Mennonite Cemetery, where a large cortege of friends and relatives were in attendance. The preachers, Messrs. Joseph Gingrich and Amos Gingrich conducted the burial service in which they drew attention to the uncertainty of life as illustrated by the death of the departed who had reached the age of 15 years and 11 months. We offer our sincere sympathy to the mourning relatives. May the Almighty console them with the hope of a future re-union.

    Alvin B. Martin, 62, of RR 2, Wallenstein, died Friday, June 17, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born June 21, 1897, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Moses B. Martin,

    Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth Steckle; five sons, Elmer, RR 2, Wallenstein; Edgar of Hawkesville; Alvin at home; Eldon, RR 2, Drayton; and Leonard, RR 2 Alma; five daughters, Mrs. Aden (Alice) Martin and Mrs. Abner (Ella) Shantz, both of RR 2, Wallenstein; Mrs. Sidney (Irene) Martin and Mrs. Rufus (Verna) Gingerich, both of RR 2, Drayton, and Elsie at home; two brothers, Noah, RR 2, Wallenstein, and 28 grandchildren.

    The body was at the residence where a funeral service was conducted Monday, followed by a service at the Mennonite Meeting House, Fourth, concession of Peel Township. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

Ida (Martin) Bearinger was the beloved wife of the late Ivan Bearinger (2014). Dear mother of Merle Bearinger, Marie and Floyd Horst, Leonard and Dorothy Bearinger. Loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by son-in-law David Brubacher and his wife Shirley, and step-sister-in-law Annie Martin.     Marie Martin, 12 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sydney W. Martin, RR 2, Drayton, died suddenly at her home Monday, January 6.

    She was born at the home where she died. She attended school in Elmira.

    Surviving besides her parents are four brothers, Lorne, Clare, Alvin and Cleon and one sister. Beatrice, all at home her maternal grand-rooter, Mrs. Alvin Martin, and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Manasseh Martin.

    The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor until Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. when removal was made to the home for the funeral at 1 p.m. Further service was conducted at North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
