    Ezra Brenneman

    district until 1942 when he moved to Baden. Mr. Brenneman attended the Livingstone Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Lily Boshart; two sons, Earl of Kitchener and Lavern of Stoney Creek; four daughters, Mrs. Curtis (Pearl) Roth and Mrs. Delton (Fern) Zehr of New Hamburg, Mrs. Lawrence (Leona) Bingeman of New Dundee and Mrs. Rose (Iona) Richert of Waterloo; two brothers, Noah of New Hamburg and Edwin of Bright; one sister, Mrs. E. Roth of Bright, and 11 grandchildren. The body will rest at the Futher Oman Funeral Home, New Hamburg, until Thursday morning when it will be taken to his home in Baden for the funeral Friday at 2 p.m. following by a service at the Livingstone Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Baden Cemetery with Rev. J.G. Murdock of Waterloo officiating

    Roth, Lena, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Brenneman, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., June 22, 1900; died at Tavistock, Ont., July 31, 1966; aged 66 y. 1 m. 9 d. In 1925 she was married to Elam Roth, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter (Verna - Mrs. Warren Bender), one son (Wilfred), and 9 grandchildren. She was a member of the Tavistock Church.     EDWIN BRENNEMAN

    Edwin Brenneman, 62, of R.R. 1, Tavistock, died at Stratford Hospital Tuesday. He had been a patient there since Sunday. Mr. Brenneman was a native of Waterloo County, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Brenneman. He retired from farming in East Zorra Township in 1960 and moved to the hamlet of Cassel. On June 15, 1927, he married the former Selma Schlegel, who survives. Mr. Brenneman was a member of the Cassel Mennonite Church, 17th line.

    He is also survived by two daughters, Mary Jane Brenneman, a missionary-teacher at Mussorie, India, and Mrs. Murray (Muriel) Poole, Stratford; one brother, Noah of New Hamburg, and three grandchildren. A son, a brother and a sister had predeceased him.

    The body was at the Robert Krug Funeral Home, Tavistock, last Thursday when removal was made to the East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th line, where a service was held conducted by Rev. Vernon Zehr. Burial followed in adjoining church cemetery.

    Brenneman, Edwin, son of Jacob and Mary (Steinman) Brenneman, was born Apr. 25, 1904; died at the Stratford General Hospital, Mar. 21, 1967; aged 62 y. 10 m. 24 d. On June 15, 1927, he was married to Selma Schlegel, who survives. He is also survived by 2 daughters (Mary Jane and Muriel--Mrs. Murray Poole). One son (Nile) predeceased him in 1956. He was a member of the Cassel Church. Funeral services were held at East Zorra, with Emerson McDowell and Vernon Zehr officiating.

    NOAH BRENNEMAN


    Noah Brenneman. New Hamburg area farmer, died May 23. 1968 at his home. He was 60.

    Mr. Brenneman was born on the farm on which he died. He was the last remaining member of the family of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Brenneman.

    He was a member of Steinman Mennonite Church.

    Surviving besides his wife, the former Elmina Gingerich. are a son. Richard; and a daughter; Mary Ellen, both at home. He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.

    The body was at the Bruce J Omand Funeral Home. New Hamburg, from Friday afternoon until noon. Sunday, when removal was made to Steinman Mennonite Church for services at 2:30 p.m.. Rev. Albert Zehr and Elmer Swartsentruber officiating.

    Burial was in the church cemetery.

Loving mother of Richard and Gloria Roth of RR 1, Milverton and Judy and Ken Barker of RR 4, Woodstock. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Nancy and Ken Riegert, Spencer and Jaynary Roth and Fraser Roth and also her great-grandchildren, Adam and Luke Riegert. Also remembered by her brother, Laverne and Delores Brenneman of Guelph; sisters, Fern Zehr of Listowel, Babe and Ross Rickert of Kitchener; sisters-in-law, Helen Roth of Kitchener and Marjorie and Edgar Minke of Surrey, B.C. Pearl was predeceased by her sister, Leona and Lawrence Bingeman; brother, Earl and Agnes Brenneman and brothers-in-law, Delton Zehr and Howard Roth. Pearl was a faithful member of Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden for many years. Past involvement at the church included teaching Sunday School and being a part of the sewing circle as she greatly enjoyed quilting. Pearl was also a member of the New Hamburg Women's Institute and for many years volunteered her time at the Mennonite Relief Sale and Ten Thousand Villages in New Hamburg. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Sunday, February 3, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Pearl's life will be held on Monday, February 4, 2008, at 1: 30 p.m. at Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden with Pastor Steve Drudge and Pastor Myrna Miller Dyck officiating. Interment to follow in Steinmann Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee, World Vision of Canada or Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Brenneman, in his 83rd year, was the beloved husband of Dolores J. (nee Miller) Brenneman. Vern was the loving grandpa of Tanya (Terry), Ryan, Josh (Kelly), and Holly. He was the dear brother of Pearl Roth and Leona Bingeman, both of New Hamburg, Fern Zehr of Listowel, Iona (Babe) Rickert of Waterloo, and the late Earl. Vern is remembered by nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Russell (1998).     It is with peaceful hearts filled with love and wonderful memories, that we announce the death of our beloved mother, on Tuesday, February 7, 2006, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. Leona had resided at Nithview Village, New Hamburg, since 1996 and was formerly of RR1, New Dundee, Ayr and Baden. She was born 76 years ago in Wilmot Township, a daughter of the late Ezra and Lily (Boshart) Brenneman Leona was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg, where she was a member of the ELW. She volunteered at Ten Thousand Villages, the MESH Store and Community Care at Nithview in the day patient services. Leona enjoyed walking, crossword puzzles, reading and was an avid quilter. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Forler (Larry) Bingeman who predeceased her in 1991. Dearest mother and grandmother of Christine Henhoeffer and her husband Robert of Roseville, Laurie Bingeman and Rose of New Hamburg and Laurie's children Jody and Melissa, Randy Bingeman and his wife Jacqui of Richwood and their children Luke, Travis, Emily and Jacob, Connie Schuts and her husband Rene of Kitchener and their children Jeremy and Andy and Steve Bingeman of Drumbo.     Roth, Carol Fern, daughter of Curtis L. and Pearl (Brenneman) Roth, was born July 23, 1943; died of cancer at the home of her parents, on March 20, 1962; aged 18 y. 7 m. 28 d. Surviving, besides her parents, are one brother (Richard), one sister (Judy), her grandparents (Mr. and Mrs. Simon Roth, New Hamburg, and Mrs. Lily Brenneman, Kitchener), and one great-grandmother. She was a member of the Steinman Church, where funeral services were held on March 23, in charge of Orland Gingerich and Elmer Schwartzentruber.
