    MILLER, Lyle - Peacefully entered into his eternal rest, on January 20, 2007, at his residence, in St. Jacobs, at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Rebecca Eileen (Shantz) Miller whom he married June 26, 1948. Dear father of Paul (Pauline Duench Miller), daughter Lynn (Peter Bell), grandchildren Robert Duncan (Ally), Krissie (Richard O'Dell), David Miller and great-grandchildren Charles and Alexis. He is lovingly remembered by his brothers Clare Miller, Stan (Connie) Miller as well as many nieces and nephews. Lyle was born in Baden, Ontario May 14, 1920. He was predeceased by his parents Henry (1960) and Ida (Rueffer) Miller (1981), sister Edith Roe, brother-in-law Frank Roe, sister-in-law Joy Miller and niece Marion Miller. During the Second World War, he served in the Royal Canadian Navy in the North Atlantic, protecting convoys. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 2: 30 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, 60 Mill Street, Baden, with Rev. Dale Finch officiating, assisted by Rev. Charles Gingrich and Rev. Harold Brill. Interment in Fairmount Cemetery, Baden. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Baden, Grey Bruce Health Services, Lion's Head or St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs- Accessibility Fund would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to thank nurses Heather, Sandra and Tina for their supportive care in the last weeks and also Dr. Cybulski and his medical team that provided exceptional care for Lyle over the past year. A masonic memorial service will take place under the auspice of the Wilmot Lodge 318 on Tuesday evening at 6: 30 p.m. at the funeral home.

    MILLER, Clare (P.Eng) - Passed away peacefully at his residence, on Thursday, October 18, 2007. A lifelong resident of Baden, Clare was born 83 years ago, a son of the late Henry Miller and the former Ida Marie Rueffer. Clare had been an active member of St. James Lutheran Church, Baden. He had served overseas during the Second World War with the Royal Canadian Air Force and was a member and past-president of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 532, New Hamburg. Clare was employed as a professional engineer with Lear-Ziegler, Kitchener for 39 years prior to his retirement. Clare was a man of precision. A recipient of the prestigious Canadian Heritage Award, Clare's quick wit and love of history were evident in his volunteer work at Castle Kilbride and in the high regard he received throughout North America for his knowledge of antique tools and watches. Beloved husband of the late Joy Marion (Levere) Miller, who predeceased him April 15, 1997. Loving father of James Clare and his wife Marlene Anne Miller of Baden. Sadly missed by grandsons, Ryan and fiancée Megan, Ethan and Justin. Lovingly remembered by brother, Stan and his wife Connie Miller; sister-in-law, Rebecca Miller of St. Jacobs; brother-in-law, Duncan and his wife Jean Levere of Winchester and a number of nieces and nephews. Clare was predeceased by his daughter, Marion Joy Miller (1970); by brother, Lyle Miller (2007); by sister, Edith and her husband Frank Roe and by sisters-in-law, Joyce Felhaber and Audrey Gibbons. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, on Sunday, October 21, 2007, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On Monday, October 22, 2007, transfer will be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Baden for the Funeral Service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jim Bindernagel and Pastor Ed Riegert officiating. Burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Baden. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. James Lutheran Church or Hospice of Waterloo Region. A Legion Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 6: 30 p.m. Our deepest appreciation and thanks to Dr. Ward, Dr. Day and the 5th Floor Nursing Staff at St. Mary's Hospital, our neighbours on Snyders Road in Baden, CarePartners and Bayshore Nursing Service Staff , CCAC staff and special friend Marie Durrer-Voisin for all the loving care Clare has received.

    MILLER, James Clare "Jim" Surrounded by family at Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, November 25, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 58. Cherished husband of Marlene (nee Ritchie) of 33 years. Loving father of Ryan (Megan), Ethan, Justin (Natalee) and "extended son" Mike. Jim will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and by his many nieces and nephews. Also sadly missed by Uncle Stan, and Aunts Connie and Becky. Predeceased by his parents Clare and Joy and by his much loved sister Marion. Jim was a highly respected collector and purveyor of vintage art, classic automobiles and fine antiques. His circle of business acquaintances became his family of friends. Jim's passion for history was shown through several preservation initiatives in his community. A special thank you to the staff at Stratford General Hospital for all of their compassionate care and support. Family and friends will be received at Robert Ruggle Funeral Home , 617 King St. N., Waterloo on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Steinman Mennonite Church, 1316 Snyder's Rd. W., Baden on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Nancy Knowles officiating. Interment in Fairmount Cemetery, Baden.
