    Simon Cressman, " the eldest, was born January 29th, 1853. On February 6th, 1876, he was married to Magdalena Schmidt who was born September 10th, 1855. They reside in Blenheim Township, several miles south of New Dundee, where he is engaged in farming. They have no family."

    Simon S. Cressman, 35 Pandora Ave., a resident of Kitchener for twelve years, passed away at his home on Monday afternoon in his 79th year, following a paralytic stroke. Deceased spent many years in Blenheim and 14 years at Baden. He is survived by a wife, one: brother, Christian, of Oxford. One daughter and a brother, Levi, predeceased him.

    The funeral took place today (Thursday) with services at the home and at Sterling Avenue Mennonite Church, of which deceased was a member. Interment was made in the East End Mennonite cemetery. Rev. U. K. Weber, pastor of the church, officiated.

    Simon married Magdalena Schmitt 6 Feb 1876, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. Magdalena (daughter of Rev. Dr. George R. Schmitt and Salome "Sally" Becker) was born 10 Sep 1855, Wilmot Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 10 Jan 1933; was buried , First Mennonite Cemetery, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.     Notes:

    CRESSMAN.- July 7th, in Blenheim, Oxford County, Ontario, of diphtheria and malarial fever, Sallie Anna, only child of Simon and Magdalena Cressman, aged 5 years, 6 months and 18 days. Buried the 9th. Services were conducted by Josepah Nahrgang and Moses Bowman in German and Noah Stauffer in English. Little Sallie, was a kind and obedient child to her parents, loved and esteemed by all who knew her. She had a remarkable memory and understanding for a child.
