Friends may call at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley, Friday evening from 7 to 9 and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, noon Sunday the remains will be removed to the Poole Mennonite Church for the funeral service at 2: 30. Rev. Amsey Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be shown by contributions to the Western Ontario Mennonite Mission Board.

Albrecht and the late Magdalena Steinman. Lorne was a member of the Wellesley Mennonite Church. He farmed on the 3rd line of Mornington, retiring from the farm in 1990. Beloved father of Larry and his wife Vickie Albrecht of Stratford, Orie and his wife Sandra Albrecht of Wellesley, Sherman Albrecht of Waterloo, Lorna and her husband James Blair of Kitchener. He was born on January 16, 1918 in Mornington township, son of the late Jacob and Magdalena (Steinman) Albrecht. Beloved husband of Laurene Albrecht (nee Schultz) for 63 years; dear father of Ruth Ann and Duane Wharram of RR 1, Gowanstown, Kenneth and Gwen Albrecht of New Hamburg, Leonard and Lynette Albrecht of RR 2, Moorefield, Laurie and Ron Yungblut of RR 2, Palmerston, Janet and Robert Richmond of RR 1, New Dundee and Mary Lou and Elgin Shantz of Waterloo. Predeceased by one son, Donald (Reb) Albrecht (1989) and his wife Jean (2000). Fondly remembered by 18 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Lena passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence Nithview Community, New Hamburg on Thursday, April 29, 2010. Lena was born 90 years ago in Brunner, Ontario and was a daughter of the late Jacob and Mattie (Steinman) Albrecht. Loving wife of Robert Shantz whom she married September 24, 1949. Dear mother of James and Sandra Shantz of Baden, Dennis and Ferne Shantz of Crosshill and Paul and Christine Shantz of New Hamburg. Cherished grandmother of Jonas, Leah, Colin, and Nathan. Lena will be forever remembered by her four great-grandchildren. Missed by brothers and sisters Harry and his wife Lucille Albrecht of Kitchener, George and his wife Edith Albrecht of London, Irvin and his wife Marjorie Albrecht of Kitchener, and Eilene and her husband Gord and Eileen Woolner of Kitchener. Lena will also be missed by her sisters-in-law Lorraine Albrecht of Drayton and Eleanor Albrecht of Kitchener. Lena was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Lorne and his wife Emma Albrecht, Emanuel Albrecht, Laverne Albrecht, Armand Eleanor Albrecht, Selina and her husband Enos Boshart, Clara and her husband Alvin Schlegel, and Verna and her husband Carl Siemon. He was born 96 years ago in Mornington Township and was the son of the late Jacob and Magdalena (Steinman) Albrecht. Beloved husband of Lucille (Jantzi) Albrecht whom he married August 21, 1948. Loving father of Bonnie Gingrich of Waterloo, Jay Albrecht of Kitchener, Darlene and Dwight Gingrich of Waterloo, Roger Albrecht of Kitchener, Marilew Albrecht and Steve Martin of Clifford, Matthew Albrecht and Meagan Earle of Roseville.
