Surviving are 6 sons (Lorne, Armand, Emanuel, George, Harry, and Irvin), 4 daughters (Clara-Mrs. Alvin Schlegel, Verna-Mrs. Carl Siemon, Lena-Mrs. Robert Shantz, and Eileen-Mrs. Gordon Woolner), one stepdaughter (Kate-Mrs. William Rupp), 2 stepsons (Aaron and Amos), 48 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one brother (Ezra), and 2 sisters (Katie-Mrs. Jacob Moser and Mary). She was preceded in death by 4 stepdaughters and 7 brothers. Funeral services were held at the Poole Mennonite Church Jan. 2, in charge of Amsey Martin.

    Died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1971, at the Fairview Mennonite Home in Preston, formerly of Poole; 85 years of age, former Magdelena Steinman, dear mother of Lorne and Armand, both of Milverton; Emanuel and George of Moorefield; Harry of Kitchener; Irvin of Wellesley, Selina (Mrs. Enos Boshart) of Seaforth, Clara (Mrs. Alvin Schlegel) of Tavistock, Verna (Mrs. Carl Siemon) of Route 2, Walton, Lena (Mrs. Robert Shantz) of Baden, Eileen (Mrs. Gordon Wollner) of Waterloo; step-daughter Kate (Mrs. William Rupp) of Millbank, step-son of Aaron of Middlebury, Indiana, Amos of Brunner; brother of Ezra of Buffalo, New York, Katie (Mrs. Jacob Moser) Croghan, New York, and Mary of Preston; also survived by 48 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; predeceased by her husband in 1928 and also by four step-daughters and seven brothers.
    Friends may call at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley, Friday evening from 7 to 9 and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, noon Sunday the remains will be removed to the Poole Mennonite Church for the funeral service at 2: 30. Rev. Amsey Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be shown by contributions to the Western Ontario Mennonite Mission Board.

Albrecht and the late Magdalena Steinman. Lorne was a member of the Wellesley Mennonite Church. He farmed on the 3rd line of Mornington, retiring from the farm in 1990. Beloved father of Larry and his wife Vickie Albrecht of Stratford, Orie and his wife Sandra Albrecht of Wellesley, Sherman Albrecht of Waterloo, Lorna and her husband James Blair of Kitchener. Dear brother of Emanuel and his wife Laurene Albrecht of Gowanstown, Harry and his wife Lucille Albrecht of Kitchener, George and his wife Edith Albrecht of London, Ervin and his wife Marjorie Albrecht of Kitchener, Armand and his wife Elenore Albrecht of Kitchener, Selina Boshart of Seaforth, Clara Schlegel of Kitchener, Lena and her husband Robert Shantz of New Hamburg, Eileen and her husband Gordon Woolner of Kitchener. Visitation was held at Futher Bros. Funeral Home Wellesley on Sunday and Monday. At 12 noon Tuesday, July 13, 1999 (today) removal will be made to the Wellesley Mennonite Church for the funeral service at 2: 30 pm, Pastor Ray Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Rush's Cemetery, Wellesley Township.

Beloved husband of Laurene Albrecht (nee Schultz) for 63 years; dear father of Ruth Ann and Duane Wharram of RR 1, Gowanstown, Kenneth and Gwen Albrecht of New Hamburg, Leonard and Lynette Albrecht of RR 2, Moorefield, Laurie and Ron Yungblut of RR 2, Palmerston, Janet and Robert Richmond of RR 1, New Dundee and Mary Lou and Elgin Shantz of Waterloo. Predeceased by one son, Donald (Reb) Albrecht (1989) and his wife Jean (2000). Fondly remembered by 18 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Willard Metzger and Pastor Ron Weber will conduct the Funeral Service in the Community Mennonite Fellowship Church, Drayton, on Sunday, July 20, 2003 at 3 p.m. Cremation will take place at Parkview Crematorium, Waterloo, followed by a private family graveside Service and Interment of Cremated Remains in Palmerston Cemetery.     Lena passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence Nithview Community, New Hamburg on Thursday, April 29, 2010. Lena was born 90 years ago in Brunner, Ontario and was a daughter of the late Jacob and Mattie (Steinman) Albrecht. Loving wife of Robert Shantz whom she married September 24, 1949. Dear mother of James and Sandra Shantz of Baden, Dennis and Ferne Shantz of Crosshill and Paul and Christine Shantz of New Hamburg. Cherished grandmother of Jonas, Leah, Colin, and Nathan. Lena will be forever remembered by her four great-grandchildren. Missed by brothers and sisters Harry and his wife Lucille Albrecht of Kitchener, George and his wife Edith Albrecht of London, Irvin and his wife Marjorie Albrecht of Kitchener, and Eilene and her husband Gord and Eileen Woolner of Kitchener. Lena will also be missed by her sisters-in-law Lorraine Albrecht of Drayton and Eleanor Albrecht of Kitchener. Lena was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Lorne and his wife Emma Albrecht, Emanuel Albrecht, Laverne Albrecht, Armand Eleanor Albrecht, Selina and her husband Enos Boshart, Clara and her husband Alvin Schlegel, and Verna and her husband Carl Siemon. He was born 96 years ago in Mornington Township and was the son of the late Jacob and Magdalena (Steinman) Albrecht. Beloved husband of Lucille (Jantzi) Albrecht whom he married August 21, 1948. Loving father of Bonnie Gingrich of Waterloo, Jay Albrecht of Kitchener, Darlene and Dwight Gingrich of Waterloo, Roger Albrecht of Kitchener, Marilew Albrecht and Steve Martin of Clifford, Matthew Albrecht and Meagan Earle of Roseville. Sadly missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren Tara and Jed and their children Jack and Isla, Jason, Jadyn, Jennifer, Cindy and Cam, Zoe and Nate, Cayla and Chris, Dustin and Adrielle and Tyler. Dear brother and brother-in-law of George Albrecht of Owen Sound, Ervin Albrecht of New Hamburg, Eileen Woolner of Kitchener and Doris Jantzi of Hensall. Remembered by Sylke Spiller and many nieces and nephews. Harry was a faithful member of First Mennonite Church, Kitchener where he had been an adult Sunday School teacher. He was active in volunteering at Mennonite Central Committee and Witness for Peace. He enjoyed fixing cars and gardening. Family and friends will be received at Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo tonight Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 2: 00 p.m. at First Mennonite Church, 800 King Street East, Kitchener. Surviving are 3 brothers (Jay, Roger, and Matthew), and 3 sisters (Bonnie-Mrs. Jim Gingrich, Darlene, and Marileu). Funeral services were held at First Mennonite Church on Nov. 4, in charge of Glenn Brubacher and Brice Balmer; interment in First Mennonite Church Cemetery.
