NEW HAMBURG.-Henry W. Doering, R.R. No. 3, New Hamburg, passed away Monday at his home in his 55th year, following a six weeks illness. Mr. Doering, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Andrew Doering, was born at Philipsburg, and of Lutheran faith, was a member of Zion Lutheran church.

Surviving are his widow, Emma Hoerle, three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Hoffman, Wellesley, Eva and Kathleen at home, and three sons, Elvon, Andrew and Emmerson, all at home, also five brothers, Andrew, Louis, Theodore, Edwin and Elmer, and one sister, Amelia, all of Philipsburg.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon with a private service at the home at 2 o'clock and thence to Zion church at Philipsburg for public ser- vices at 3 o'clock. Interment took place in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. G. Schultz officiated.

Henry married Emma M. Hoerle 19 Jun 1907, Wilmot Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. Emma (daughter of Henry Hoerle and Catherine "Katie" Wettlaufer) was born 1882, Wilmot Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 1962; was buried , Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Philipsburg, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. Peacefully on Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at the Heritage Home in St. Jacobs, Ruby Emilie (Doering) Hoffman, formerly of R.R. 3, Wellesley.

Ruby was born in North Easthope Township 95 years ago. Daughter of the late Henry Doering and the late Emma Hoerle. Ruby attended St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wellesley.

Dear mother of Lloyd and his wife Ruth Hoffman of Wellesley. Mother-in-law of Lynne Hoffman of Breslau. Dear sister of Kathleen (Kay) Hofstetter of New Hamburg. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Carolyn, Robert and Ronda, Shirley and Darrell, Stacy and Matt. Great-Grandma of Kari, Cindy and Mark, Scott and Jodie Jill and John and Jeff. Also remembered by six great-great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband Harvey W.J. Hoffman August 16, 1980, and by her son Franklin Hoffman in 1999, also by three brothers, Eldon, Andrew and Emmerson and one sister Eva and by a great-grandson Trevor and great-granddaughter Ginger.

FINK, Mrs. Eva Alma - Peacefully, on Sunday, Nov. 13, 1988, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, the former Eva Doering, of 145 Peel St. New Hamburg. She was born in North Easthope township, 73 years ago, a daughter of the late Henry Doering and the former Emma Hoerle. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg and had been Second Vice President of the Ladies' Auxiliary and an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 532, New Hamburg. Eva was also a member of the 39 Plus Club, New Hamburg and a member of the New Hamburg Dart Club. Beloved wife of Austin (Aussie) Fink, whom she married October 15, 1976. Lovingly remembered by three sons, Donald and Shirley Cook of RR 1, Stratford, Gerald and Shirley Cook of Stratford and Ralph Cook and his friend Dorothy of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by three grandchildren, Debra and her husband Rick Lang, Gary and Karen; two great-grandchildren, Lisa and Jeffrey; dear sister of Eldon of Stratford, Mrs. Ruby Hoffman of Wellesley, Kathleen and her husband Brooks Hofstetter of New Hamburg. Eva was predeceased by her first husband, Reuben Cook in 1959 and her second husband, Arthur Seftel in 1975 and two brothers, Emerson and Andrew. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, after 7 p.m. today (Monday), and until Wednesday at noon, when transfer will be made to Trinity Lutheran Church for the service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Andre Lavergne presiding. Interment to follow in St. James Lutheran cemetery, North Easthope township.
