    Notes:

    A lifelong resident of Wilmot Township, Mr. William Heipel, passed away at the home of his son in Philipsburg last Thursday June 20, aged 84 years. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Heipel and was born in Wilmot on January 22nd, 1856. He farmed near Philipsburg for many years but later retired. He was a devoted member of the Philipsburg Lutheran Church. One son, Edwin and a daughter, Mrs. Nelson Hoerle of Philipsburg, besides four brothers, Chas. of Baden, George and Andrew of Waterloo and John of Waterloo and one sister, Mrs. Peter OOttman in Saskatchewan survive him. There are also seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon from the residence to Zion Lutheran Church for service with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. G.R. Schultz, his pastor, held the funeral service and many relatives and friends attended.

    PHILLIPSBURG, June 20 - William Heipel, 84, died early today at the home of his son, Edwin. Deceased was born in Wilmot Township on Jan. 23, 1856, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Heipel. A retired farmer, Mr. Heipel was a member on Zion Lutheran Church.

    Surviving are one son, Edwin of Philipsburg, one daughter, Mrs. Nelson Hoerle of Philipsburg, four brothers, Charles of Baden, George and Andrew of Waterloo, and John of Wellesley, one sister, Mrs. Peter Ottman of Saskatchewan, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon from the residence at 2 pm to Zion Lutheran Church at 3: 30 pm with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Remains will be at the M.R. Futher Funeral Home, Wellesley, until 7 pm Friday evening.

    PHILIPBURG - The funeral will be held Tuesday of Edwin H. Heipel, 72 of Philipsburg, a wholesale butcher who died at the K-W Hospital, Saturday. He had attended Kitchener Market for 28 years.

    The body is at the residence where a short service will be held Tuesday followed by a memorial service in Zion Lutheran Church here at 2: 30 conducted by Rev. Donald Stewart. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

    Born in Wilmot Township, Mr. Heipel had lived in the Philipsburg district all his life.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Anna Koop whom he married 28 years ago, and one son, William, at home. A sister died five weeks ago.

    HEIPEL, William Charles (Bill) - Passed away, peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Friday March 17, 2006 at Grey Bruce Health Services, Markdale. Bill resided at Lake Eugenia and was formerly of Philipsburg. He was born 77 years ago in Kitchener on April 27, 1928 the son of the late Edwin and Anna (Koop) Heipel. Bill was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg. Prior to retirement, Bill worked as a butcher and owned and operated Heipel's Meats. He enjoyed all aspects of cottage life as well as playing horseshoes, golf and bowling. Beloved husband for 53 years of Beatrice (Harder) Heipel who he married June 19, 1952. Dear father of Deborah and Dave Wagler of New Hamburg, William Jr. (Bill) and Rhonda Heipel of Cambridge, David and Leslie Heipel of Waterford and Tim and Julie Heipel of Waterloo. Sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren, Shawn, Michael, Heidi, Jonathon, Brittany, Alex, Nick, Zachary, Cole and Kaleigh.     She was born 90 years ago in Wilmot Township a daughter of the late Nelson and Alma (Heipel) Hoerle. Martha was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, crocheting doilies and was a wonderful cook.

    Beloved wife of Clarence Wegford whom she married April 12, 1947. Loving mother of Carol Wagler of Waterloo and Paul and his wife Darlene Wegford of New Hamburg; dear grandmother of Trevor and Wendy Wagler, Ian Wagler, Laurel Wagler and Christopher and Jason Wegford. Also remembered by son-in-law, Harvey Wagler of Waterloo.     HOERLE, Weybourne Theodore (Web) - Of R.R. 2, Baden, died peacefully, on Thursday, July 23, 1998, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, with family members at his side. He was 79.

    Born and raised in Philipsburg, Weybourne was a son of the late Nelson and Alma (Heipel) Hoerle. He farmed on the Hoerle family farm in Philipsburg for 39 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Philipsburg. Weybourne loved the outdoors and leaves in each of children a deep respect for nature and its marvels. He loved to laugh, tell stories and will be remembered for his great sense of humor.

    Beloved husband of the former Esther Marie Berg whom he married February 15, 1941. Dear father of Murray and his wife Helen of R.R. 2, Baden, Dianne and her husband Paul Cress of Ottawa, Sandra and her husband Robert Good of Waterloo and Brenda Hoerle and her husband Terry Dale of Waterloo. Loving grandfather of Troy, Jason and Marta Hoerle, Tracey Cress, Jackie and Laurie Good, and Nathaniel, Caleb and Olivia Dale. Dear brother of Edgar and his wife Marilyn Hoerle of New Hamburg, Martha and her husband Clarence Wegford of Philipsburg, Charlotte Wegfahrt of Baden and Isobel and Bruce Compass of Waterloo. Also remembered by sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Elmer Lantz of Wellesley and Ruth and Walter Doering of Kitchener.

    Weybourne was predeceased by a sister, Irene and her husband Reuben Wettlaufer; a sister-in-law, Leona Hoerle and two brothers-in-law, George Wegfahrt and Lloyd Berg and a granddaughter Julie Good.

He had owned and operated Hoerle Trucking for a number of years and retired from Haunn Sand and Gravel. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Eckensviller) Hoerle who he married June 25, 1966. Loving father of Donna and Franklin Hinz of Stratford, Tim Eckensviller and Patricia Angus of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by grandchildren and great-grandchildren John Hinz and Dawn Peters of Toronto, Sarah and Robert Spicer (Erinn) of Tavistock, Jamie Hinz and Crystal Hundt (Jack) of Stratford, Elizabeth Hinz of Toronto, Tim Dahmer of Calgary and Jessie Eckensviller of Kitchener. Norm participated in Morningside Activities and was a member and Marshall at Tavistock Golf Club, Norm enjoyed watching horse racing, hockey and baseball on T.V. and also enjoyed the winter months at his home in Sunnybreeze Harbor, Florida. Loving partner of Jean Cook. Dear brother of Jim and his wife Lyla Wettlaufer of Witmer Rd., Petersburg.
