    Mrs. A.C. Morris, 78, the former Alice Brubacher, died June 2 at her home, 9 King St., after a short illness.
    Born in St. Jacobs, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anson Brubacher.

    She was a member of Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church and of the Women's Society of World Service.

    Her husband died in April of 1947. Surviving are five brothers, Eugene of Preston, Ralph of St. George, Eli of Hanover, Calvin of Kitchener and Clayson of Waterloo; and four sisters, Agnes and Joy of Kitchener, Aleda of St. Catharines and Mrs. Stanley (Mabel) Schweitzer of Waterloo. She was predeceased by one brother and one sister.

    The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor until Saturday noon when removal was made to Zion EUB Church for the service at 2 p.m. Rev. M.E. Reuber and Rev. J.W. Siebert officiated. Burial was in St. Jacobs Evangelical cemetery.

    BRUBACHER, Eugene B. At his home, Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge (Preston), on Tuesday, July 8, 1975, after a lengthy illness, Eugene Brubacher, formerly of Krug Street, Kitchener, aged 86 years. Mr. Brubacher was born in St. Jacobs, a son of the late Anson Brubacher and the former Magdalene Bowman, a resident of the Twin City area all his life, a member of First Mennonite Church, and formerly custodian of the church for 22 years.

    Husband of the former Ida Cressman who predeceased him, May 30, 1958. Father of James Brubacher, Mrs. Ruth Victor, Wilma (Mrs. Russell Meyer), Reta (Mrs. Orie Bender), Dorothy (Mrs. Harold Bast), all of Kitchener, Audrey (Mrs. Edward Draves) of Buffalo, Alice (Mrs. David Martens) of Waterloo, and Kathleen (Mrs. Freeman Steinke) of New Hamburg and the late Kenneth, who predeceased him in infancy; brother of Joy and Agnes Brubacher, Calvin and Cleason Bru- bacher, all of Kitchener, Mable (Mrs. Stanley Schweitzer), Waterloo, and Aleda Brubacher of Beamsville, Eli Brubacher of Hanover, and Ralph of Brantford; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren also survive. Predeceased by one brother and two sisters.

    Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. tonight until noon on Friday when removal will be made to First Mennonite Church for the service at 3 p.m. with Rev. Ernie Martin officiating. Internment in the adjoining cemetery. Donations to the Ontario Mennonite Mission Board may be made as expressions of sympathy.

Dear sister of Ralph, Brantford, Eli, Hanover, Calvin, Kitchener, Cleason, Killaloe, Joy of Kitchener, Aleda, Beamsville and Mrs. Stanley (Mabel) Schweitzer, Waterloo; predeceased by her parents, two brothers Eugene and Lloyd who was killed in the First World War; two sister Alice and Magdalene. Friends may call at the Ratz Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener. Funeral and committal service in the chapel on Saturday 3 p.m. Rev. Grant Milroy officiating. Interment Calvary cemetery St. Jacobs.     Sapper Brubacher Dead.

    "died of wounds, Nov. 25th" is the sad news received by the wife of Sapper Lloyd Brubacher Wednesday, concerning her husband. The following day two letters arrived from him, both of which were cheerful and hopeful. he was born in St. Jacob's, Ont., 22 years ago, and for six years lived in Toronto, employed as electrical engineer with the Hydro Commission. A brother, Eli has enlisted with the navy, and is now home in St. Jacob's on ten days' leave, Sapper Brubacher enlisted with the 4th Divisional Cyclist Corps, and later was transferred to the 4th Canadian Engineers. Five sisters and three brothers live with their parents at St. Jacob's and his wife resides at 19 Waterloo Avenue.

    VICTOR, Ruth Marjorie (nee Brubacher) Formerly of Lorne Crescent, Kitchener, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Ruth Victor was in her 92nd year. She was the loving mother of Marjorie Baer and her husband David of Glencoe, and Ross Victor and his wife Eleanor of Kitchener. She is survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Audrey and the late Edward Draves of West Seneca, New York, James Brubacher and his wife Lori of Kitchener, Dorothy Bast and her husband Harold of Kitchener, Alice Martens and her husband David of Waterloo and brothers-in-law Russel Meyer and Friedman Steinke of Kitchener. Predeceased by parents Eugene and Ida Brubacher, sisters Kathleen Steinke, Reta and her husband Orie Bender, Wilma Meyer and brother Kenneth. Ruth worked for 25 years before retiring from the Mutual Life Assurance Co. in Waterloo. After retiring she loved to travel and work in her garden. Ruth's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 1-1: 45 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral service 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009 in the chapel of the funeral home. Pastor Gary Knarr of First Mennonite Church officiating. Interment First Mennonite Cemetery followed by a reception.     Passed away peacefully on March 9 2024 at The Village of University Gates LTC in Waterloo in his 98th year.

    His wife Lorna passed away 28 days earlier on February 10 2024. They were married almost 72 years and are reunited again in Heaven.

    Dear father of Murray (Christine) and Dawna Bast (Dave). Loving grandfather of Peter (Cassandra), Matthew Bast (Heather), Dan (Lindsay), Joshua Bast and Amanda Hildebrandt (Luke). James had 12 great grandchildren. Brother of Alice Martens (Dave), brother-in-law of Alice Kinsie and Wanda Litwiller. James will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.

    Predeceased by infant son Richard in 1957, parents Ida and Eugene Brubacher and many siblings, in-laws and their spouses.

    James was a long time member of First Mennonite Church in Kitchener. He worked at the City of Kitchener Transit for 31 years.

    Many thanks to all of the exceptional staff at University Gates LTC home for their compassionate care of Dad for almost 2 years. You truly were another family to him. A very special thanks to Kimmy and Ursula for all of the kind and loving care you gave Dad. We will be forever grateful.

    Interment has taken place. Services entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, 519-749-8467.
