    Mrs. Henry & Lippert

    The death of Mrs. Henry L. Lippert of Breslau occurred at St. Mary's Hospital on Sunday morning in her 82nd year. Mr. and Mrs. Lippert observed their 57th wedding anniversary December 31, 1935.

    Mr. and Mrs. Lippert were married Dec. 31, 1878 at New Hamburg. Following which they farmed in Wilmot township until 36 years ago when they moved to Breslau.

    Mrs. Lippert who before her marriage was Christina Lemp, was born in Germany and came to Canada when nine months old.

    Surviving are her husband, one son, Henry, Waterloo, two daughters, Mrs. E. Muratzke, Kitchener, and Mrs. Heary Wagner of Bridgeport.

    Thirteen grandchildren also survive. One son died in infancy.

    The funeral was held on Wednesday with private service at the residence in Brselau, thence to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church for service. Interment took place in St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery. Rev. J. Schmieder conducted the services.

    Notes:

    Tavistock has lost one of its best known and highly respected residents in the person of John K. Lemp who passed away at his home there on Monday following a two day illness. Mr. Lemp had been in failing health for some time past. He took a sudden turn for the worse on Saturday and sank gradually, death coming on Monday morning. Mr. Lemp who was in his 78th year was a native of Waterloo County. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sebastopol. Besides his wife he is survived by one son, John Lemp, druggist, of Tavistock, one daughter, Mrs. John Piehl, of Tavistock, a brother, George, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, also survive. The funeral was held from his late residence on Thursday afternoon with a service at the house at 2 o'clock, following which a service was held in the church. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.

    EAST DETROIT - Funeral services will be held on Saturday for William Lemp, 83, a former East Detroit resident, who died Tuesday at the home of a son, Lee, 435 Channing in Ferndale.

    Mr. Lemp was born in Canada, the son of the late Conrad and Elizabeth Lemp. Until recently, he lived in East Detroit.

    Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; one son, Lee; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Dinter, Detroit; six grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; one brother, Daniel, of Canada, and two and Amanda, sisters, Lizzie and both of Canada.

    Services will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday from the Spaulding and Son Funeral Home, Ferndale, with burial in Rochester.
    D. N. Cooley, Mount Clemens mortician, will be in charge of services.

    The sudden death of Samuel Lemp, of East Zorra, on Saturday afternoon, November 29th, came as a distinct shock to his relatives and friends in the community. He had been about his farm duties as usual and had gone over to the wood box when a sudden heart attack overcame him and he passed away within a few minutes. He was in his 65th year, and a brother of John K. Lemp, of Tavistock. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon from his late residence, lot 29, conc. 10, East Zorra, to the Trinity Lutheran Church and cemetery, where interment was made. - Tavistock Gazette.

    Local Resident Passes At London Hospital

    Daniel Lemp, a resident of New Hamburg for the past six years, passed away on Wednesday morning at a hospital in London, where he had been, a patient for the past two weeks. He was 81 years old. Mr. Lemp was born May 17th, 1873 in Wilmot township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Lemp. He farmed near Wellesley for 57 years before retiring to Baden 11 years ago. In 1948 he moved to New Hamburg, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church here. Surviving are his wife, the former Ida Schneller, one daughter, Miss Selma Lemp of Appleton, Wise., and one sister, Mrs. Otto Kress, of Bamberg. The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon with service at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2:00 o'clock, and interment in Riverside cemetery. Rev. A. Buehlow, pastor, will officiate.

    In the mid-1940s, Sadowsky said, he started work at Hamel Broom, then located at 16 Noecker St., beside the Hamel family home. The plant was later demolished by the City of Waterloo so Regina Street could be extended north.

    At that point, Sadowsky, now the owner, moved Hamel Broom to the Laurel Industries building. One of his employees, John Davenport, bought the firm in 1989 and moved it to St. Jacobs, where it continues to operate today.

    A fellow tenant, Sadowsky recalls, was an elderly electrician named Percy Weissgerber, who sporadically found work repairing light fixtures and electric motors.

    George Craft Kronmiller, Jr., of Howard County, Maryland, peacefully passed away on February 20, 2021. Born on June 16, 1933 in Jamestown, New York, George was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.

    As an engineer with the Naval Research Lab and subsequently with NASA, he traveled to remote parts of the world and helped launch satellites into space. In 1967, George and his family moved to Columbia, Maryland, where he was instrumental in developing Wilde Lake's Interfaith Center. He was also a founding member of New Hope Lutheran Church, where for many years he served as dedicated leader and usher. After the death of his first wife, Selma, he helped other families as a hospice volunteer. Throughout his life, George was a humble man of deeds, not words. He will be greatly missed.

    His surviving family includes his loving wife, Elinor Kronmiller, daughter, Wendy Kronmiller, and sister, Susanne Lynch.

    GUENTHER, Lloyd J. - Peacefully, on Saturday, Dec. 21, 1996, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Lloyd John Guenther, of 96 Brown St., Wellesley.

    Born in Wilmot Township 81 years ago, son of the late Henry Guenther and the late Olda Kling. Lloyd was a faithful and life member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Philipsburg. Mr. Guenther was very active in his church, serving on church council and on various committees for many years. He was a former member of the Wellesley Board of Trade and the Wellesley North Easthope Agriculture Society. He was a former school trustee at SS No. 18 School and was also on the Arena staff for 15 years. Lloyd farmed in Wilmot Township, retiring in 1977.

    Loving husband of Hilda (Doering) Guenther of Wellesley; dear father of Marion and her husband John Cook of Baden, Linda and her husband Robert Kraehling of RR 1, St. Agatha, Roy and his wife Lorraine Guenther of RR 1, Wellesley and Neil and his wife, Joanne Guenther of Wellesley. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Carl and Carol Cook, Beth and Randy Martin, Janet, Jason, Laura and Amy Kraehling, Gregory and Krista Guenther, Joshua, Jennifer, Allison and Leisa Guenther; his great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Chantal, Sheldon and Taylor; his sister-in-law, Irene Neeb of Wellesley and the late Walter and brother-in-law, Roy and his wife Blanch Doering of New Hamburg.
