    Bast, Amos, son of Peter and Sarah (Brunk) Bast, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., Sept. 28, 1901; died of a heart attack at St. Joseph's Hospital, London, Ont., Oct. 12, 1972; aged 71 y. 14 d. Surviving is one brother (Edwin Bast). He was a member of the Poole Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held at the Wellesley Funeral Home, Oct. 14, in charge of Amsey Martin; interment in the Poole Mennonite Church Cemetery.

    Bast, Edwin, son of Peter and Sarah (Brunk) Bast, was born in Wellesley Twp., Ont., Aug. 17, 1903; died at Nithview Village, New Hamburg, Ont., Apr. 27, 1990; aged 86. He was married to Lydian Roth, who died May 3, 1986. Surviving are 2 daughters (Grace Jutzi and Sadie Palmer), 11 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son (Sanford) and two infant brothers (Amos and Oliver). He was a member of Poole Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Apr. 30, in charge of Gerald Neufeld and Amsey Martin; interment in Poole Mennonite Church Cemetery.
