PHILIPSBURG, March 25-The death of Clarence Becker, 41, occurred at his residence today following an illness of three months.
A farmer by occupation, Mr. Becker was born at Lisbon, North Easthope Township, in 1905. He was a member of the First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wellesley.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Becker of Kitchener; his wife, the former Marie Albrecht, and one daughter, Reta, 11. Also surviving are four brothers, William, Howard, Gordon and Harold and two sisters, Mrs. Norman Brunk and Mrs. George Kimpel, all of Kitchener.
The remains will rest at the Futher Funeral Home, Wellesley, until four o'clock Wednesday when removal will be made to the residence at Philipsburg. A private service will be held at the residence Friday afternoon at 2:30 folllowed by a public service at St. Paul's Church, Wellesley, at 3 p.m. Rev. C. A. Kramer will officiate. Interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery.

Howard F. Becker - Howard F. Becker, 57, of 309 King St. E., died at his home Saturday following a brief illness. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Becker, he was born May 16, 1907, in Wilmot Township. A resident of Kitchener for the past 22 years, he was employed as a painter. He is survived by three brothers, William of RR 2, Petersburg, Gordon of Kitchener and Harold of Breslau, and two sisters, Mrs. Norman (Laura) Brun of Breslau and Mrs. George (Arnetta) Kimpel of Waterloo. He was predeceased by one brother. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where Rev. Dr. John Schmieder of St. Matthew's Lutheran church will conduct a service at 3 pm, Wednesday. Burial will be in Memory Gardens.

Brunk, Laura (nee Becker) - Passed away, peacefully, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Saturday, July 8, 2000, in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Norman on December 23, 1981. Loving mother of Ronald and his wife Betty-Lou of Lions Head and formerly of Bridgeport, Betty (Margaret) and her husband Ralph Grein of Kitchener, Lenore and her husband Jim Murray of St. Thomas and Doug of Kitchener. Lovingly remembered by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; dear sister of Bill Becker and his wife Catherine and Harold Becker and his wife Ruth and sister-in-law of Edith Becker, of Kitchener. Predeceased by her parents, William Becker and the former Annie Seftel; sister, Arnetta Kimpel; brothers, Clarence, Howard and Gordon and two infant great-granddaughters. Relatives and friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel on Wednesday, July 12, at 2: 30 pm. Interment Memory Gardens, Breslau. Reception will follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre.

Beloved husband of Catherine (Kay) Pommer whom he married February 3, 1940 and who predeceased him October 28, 2006. Bill was predeceased by daughters-in-law, Penny Becker and Delores Becker; granddaughter, Wendy Becker; brothers, Clarence and wife Mary, Howard, Gordon and Harold and by sisters, Laura and husband Norman Brunk and Arnetta and husband George Kimpel. Bill was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg and had farmed near Wilmot Centre for many years.
