    Notes:

    Jacob W. Jantzi, 56, Wellesley, died on June 15th after a short illness. Born in Wilmot Township in 1892, he farmed in that area and was rural mail carrier for 23 years. He was a member of Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church. Surviving are his father, John Jantzi, and his stepmother. His mother, the former Mattie Wagler, died in 1907. Also surviving are his wife, the former Katie Albrecht; one son, Alvin, Wellesley; one daughter, Susanna, at home; three brothers, Noah, of Bamberg, John and David of Wilmot Township; six sisters, Mrs. Christian (Barbara) Albrecht, of Vero Beach, Florida, Mrs. Jacob (Lydia) Albrecht, of Crosshill, Mrs. David (Katie) Nafziger, of R.R. 2, Milverton, Mrs. David (Mattie) Zehr of Crosshill, Mrs. David (Elizabeth) Roes and Mrs. Enoch (Sara) Horst, of Millbank. Five grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held at his residence on Saturday morning followed by church service at 10 o'clock at the Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Mose Nafziger officiated at the church and Rev. Samuel Roth, Wellesley, officiated at the house. The pallbearers were Ervin Nafziger, Clarence Miller Emanuel Albrecht, Aaron Jantzi, William Albrecht and David Jantzi. The funeral, which was one of the largest in the district, was attended with relatives and friends from Vero, Florida; Bay Port, Mich.; Buffalo, N.Y.; Kitchener, Baden, New Hamburg, Crosshill, Milverton and the surround district.

A member of Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church. He farmed in Wellesley Township retiring in 1965. Dear husband of the former Mary Gascho of Wellesley, dear father of Erin L. Jantzi of Route 1, Wellesley, Almina (Mrs. Almer Jantzi) of Route 2, Wellesley, Katie (Mrs. Erin N. Jantzi of Route 1, Milverton, Nancy (Mrs. Amos Martin) of Route 1, Lucknow and Emma (Mrs. Nicholas Gerber) of Route 3, Wellesley; Brother of John Jantzi of Route 1, Millbank, Lydia (Mrs. Jacob Albrecht) of Route 1, Millbank, and Sarah (Mrs. Enoch Horst) of Route 4, Elmira. Also survived by 18 Grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by three brothers; six sisters and one grandchild. Visitation at the family residence, 103 Queen St. E., Wellesley, after seven p.m. this evening. A family service will be conducted at the home on Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 1 p.m., followed by the funeral service at the Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church at 2 p.m. Bishop Arthur Gerber will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

    Visitaton at the home of mr. and Mrs. Norman Jantzi, Crosshill, after 2 p.m. Sunday. family service will be conducted at their home on Tuesday, december 27, at 1 p.m., followed by the funeral service at the Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church at 2 p.m. Bishop arthur Gerber will officiate. interment will follow in the church cemetery.1

    JANTZI, John of Route 1, Millbank, passed away January 24, 1980, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. He was born in Wilmot Township, 80 years ago. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mary Gerber in 1974. He is survived by two sons David of Wellesley and Delmar [Delmar was a grandson, the son of one of John's daughters and raised as a son] of Route 1, Wellesley; four daughters Katie (Mrs. Ralph) Gerber), Madeline (Mrs. Roy Gerber), Alma (Mrs. Jacob Zehr), all of Route 1, Millbank, Edna (Mrs. Raymond. Jantzi) of Route 2, Wellesley; two sisters Lydia (Mrs. Jacob Albrecht) of Route 1, Millbank and Sahar (Mrs. Enoch Horst) of Elmira; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one son in infancy in 1935 and one daughter, Esther (Mrs. John Zehr) in 1977 and by four brothers and six sisters.

    David W. Jantzi of RR 1, Wellesley, died today at his home after a brief illness. He was 63.

    Born in Wilmot Township, Feb. 16, 1905, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Jantzi.

    He was a member of Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church near Wellesley, and farmed in Wilmot Township before his retirement in 1961.

    One brother and three sisters predeceased him.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Annie Gerber, whom he married in Wellesley Township March 3, 1927; three daughters, Erma, Mrs. Ernest (Marion) Roth and Mrs. Emmanuel (Emma) Lichty, all of RR 1, Wellesley; two brothers, Noah of Wellesley and John of Crosshill; five sisters, Mrs. Christian (Barbara) Albrecht of Vero Beach, Fla., Mrs. Jacob (Lydia) Albrecht of RR 1, Millbank, Mrs. David (Mattie) Zehr of Crosshill, Mrs. David (Elizabeth) Rose of Millbank, and Mrs. Enoch (Sarah) Horst of Linwood; four grandchildren.

    The body will be at the family home after Wednesday noon, where a family service will be conducted Friday at 1: 30 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2: 30 p.m. at Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church. Bishop Samuel Roth will officiate.

    Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Ruby was born on May 31, 1928, and attended school in Crosshill. In 1949 she married Elton and were together for 47 years. They farmed for many years and operated a milk transport company together. After Elton passed, she lived at Pondview for 21 years and later to Knollcrest Lodge in Milverton. Ruby will always be remembered for baking pies, donuts, coffee cakes and hosting large dinners with family and friends. She had adored her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed spending time at the cottage, fishing and playing board games, especially Aggravation. She was a member of Crosshill Mennonite Church and Women's Sewing Circle. She had a love for quilting and quilted one for each of her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by many.     ALBRECHT, William "Bill"-With great sadness, the family announces the sudden unexpected passing of Bill, at home, with his wife Anne at his side on Sunday, November 7, 2021, in his 90th year. Precious and loving husband of Anne Fowler. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Erma Roes (2016). Loving father of Lorraine Guenther (Roy), Sharon McKay (David), Marlene Fisher (Dennis), Bruce (Ramona), Brian (Sandi) and stepfather of Peter Fowler. Dear grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his sister Ruby Roth and his brother's in-law and sister's in-law; Clarence Poole, John and Emmaline Roes, Ivan and Reta Roes, Norm and Sharon Roes, Jane and Joseph Stern and Heather and Paul Adelman. Marlene's life centered around her seven grandchildren, Mackenzie, Alex and Jackson Normandeau, Sarah and Isaac Fisher, Griffin and Brayden Smith. Gary Gerber of Hamilton, James and Andrew, both of RR 1, Millbank and Marlene (Mrs. Melvin Lichty) of New Hamburg, Betty Lou (Mrs. Thomas Gilchrist) of Waterloo and Ruth Ann (Mrs. Elvern Biehn) of RR 4, Listowel. Lovingly remembered by two nieces and seven nephews.

Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, until noon Tuesday, July 14, when removal will be made to the Crosshill Mennonite Church for the funeral service at 2: 30 p.m., Rev. Irvin Erb and Rev.     Nafziger, Pauline, daughter of Melvin and Edith (Lichty) Nafziger, was born Sept. 20, 1957; died in a car accident near her home at Topping, Ont., June 10, 1965; aged 7 y. 8 m. 20 d. Surviving are her parents, one sister (Rochelle), her paternal grandfather (David Nafziger), and her maternal grandfather (Jacob Lichty).
