Beloved wife of Steve. Loving mother of Marlene (Mel Lichty), Gary, Betty Lou Gilchrist (Dale), Ruth Anne (Elvern Biehn), Jamie (Karen) and predeceased by her daughter Sandra and son Andy. Dear grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her sister, Ruby Roth, brother, Bill Albrecht (Erma), sisters-in-law, Laura Gerber, Katie Gerber as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Jacob Albrecht and Lydia (nee Jantzi), her sister, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Erma (Nelson Ropp), Eileen (Lloyd Brenneman), Emmanuel Gerber (Clara Ann), Aaron Gerber (Mary Ann and Mary), Elmer Gerber, Annie (David Erb), Ida (Ezra Stere), Rachel (Irvin Bender) and Michael Gerber. Edna was an active member in the sewing circle at Crosshill Mennonite Church. She loved quilting, gardening and offering hospitality to many in her home. Friends may call at the FUTHER-FRANKLIN FUNERAL HOME , 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley, on Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Crosshill Mennonite Church, Crosshill, on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. Pastor Doug Amstutz officiating.     Ropp.- Erma Albrecht, daughter of Jacob and Lydia (Jantzi) Albrecht, was born in Mornington Twp., Ont., Jan. 16, 1920; died of cancer at Victoria Hospital, London, Ont., July 12, 1988; aged 68 y. On June 21, 1939, she was married to Nelson Ropp, who survives. Also surviving are 4 daughters (Shirley Jutzi, Marjorie Gingerich, Karen Moffat, and Linda MacDonald), 3 sons (Donald, Wayne, and Larry), 21 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother (William Albrecht), and 3 sisters (Edna Gerber, Ruby Roth, and Eileen Brenneman). She was a member of Poole Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on July 15, in charge of David Brubacher; interment in the church cemetery.

Ruby was born on May 31, 1928, and attended school in Crosshill. In 1949 she married Elton and were together for 47 years. They farmed for many years and operated a milk transport company together. After Elton passed, she lived at Pondview for 21 years and later to Knollcrest Lodge in Milverton. Ruby will always be remembered for baking pies, donuts, coffee cakes and hosting large dinners with family and friends. She had adored her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed spending time at the cottage, fishing and playing board games, especially Aggravation. She was a member of Crosshill Mennonite Church and Women's Sewing Circle. She had a love for quilting and quilted one for each of her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by many.     Obituary for William 'Bill' Albrecht

    ALBRECHT, William "Bill"-With great sadness, the family announces the sudden unexpected passing of Bill, at home, with his wife Anne at his side on Sunday, November 7, 2021, in his 90th year. Precious and loving husband of Anne Fowler. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Erma Roes (2016). Loving father of Lorraine Guenther (Roy), Sharon McKay (David), Marlene Fisher (Dennis), Bruce (Ramona), Brian (Sandi) and stepfather of Peter Fowler. Dear grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his sister Ruby Roth and his brother's in-law and sister's in-law; Clarence Poole, John and Emmaline Roes, Ivan and Reta Roes, Norm and Sharon Roes, Jane and Joseph Stern and Heather and Paul Adelman. Predeceased by his parents Jacob Albrecht and Lydia Jantzi, son in law Bruno Gliedt (1973), sisters and their spouses; Edna and Steve Gerber, Erma and Nelson Ropp, Eileen and Lloyd Brenneman, Elton Roth, sister's in-law Ethel Poole and Eleanor Roes. Bill had retired from farming in Crosshill, driving school bus and as a milk truck driver for Millbank Cheese and Butter. A remarkable man with a fierce loyalty to his family and friends. Unique and mischievous, he made many laugh at his jokes and pranks over the years. He loved life, so much and found much joy in planning each and every day. We sincerely thank the Paramedics, Firemen and Police for their efforts and support.     On Friday, July 10, 1981, at her home, 211 Ahrens St., Kitchener, formerly of Crosshill. She was born in Alma township 38 years ago.

    She was a member of the Crosshill Mennonite Church and was an employee of the March of Dimes Rehabilitation Centre for the past five years.

    Beloved daughter of Rev. Steven and Edna Gerber of RR 1, Millbank; granddaughter of Mrs. Jacob (Lydia) Albrecht, of RR 1, Millbank; dear sister of Rev. Gary Gerber of Hamilton, James and Andrew, both of RR 1, Millbank and Marlene (Mrs. Melvin Lichty) of New Hamburg, Betty Lou (Mrs. Thomas Gilchrist) of Waterloo and Ruth Ann (Mrs. Elvern Biehn) of RR 4, Listowel. Lovingly remembered by two nieces and seven nephews.

    Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, until noon Tuesday, July 14, when removal will be made to the Crosshill Mennonite Church for the funeral service at 2: 30 p.m., Rev. Irvin Erb and Rev. Alvin Leis officiating. Interment in Rush's cemetery, Wellesley township. Expressions of sympathy to the Mennonite Central committee.

    He was born in Stratford 15 years ago. He is the son of Elton and Ruby Roth of Route 1, Millbank; a grade 10 student at Elmira and District Secondary School; a member of Crosshill Mennonite Church.

    Dear brother of Ronald, Keith, Barry, Mark, Brenda, Sharol, Wendy, all of Route 1, Millbank, and Mrs. Joyce (Peter) Erb of Route 3, Tiverton; dear grandson of Mrs. Lydia (Jacob) Albrecht of Route 1, Millbank and Mrs. Amanda (Benjamin) Roth of Nithview Home, New Hamburg.

    Friends may call at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley after 7 p.m. this evening. At noon Friday, Jan. 30, the remains will be removed to Crosshill Mennonite Church for the funeral and committal service at 3 p.m. Rev. Steven Gerber will officiate. Spring interment in Rush's cemetery.
