    Charles Schuett

    A former Waterloo County warden, Charles Schuett, 77, of RR 1, West Montrose, died suddenly Saturday, November 9, at his home. A native of Guelph Township and a farmer by occupation, Mr. Schuett received an acclamation to the wardenship in 1938 while reeve for only two years. He was a member of Woolwich Township Council for 12 years. A member of St. Boniface RC Church, Maryhill, and of the Holy Name Society there, he was also a director of North Waterloo Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schuett of Guelph Township. Mr. Schuett is survived by his wife, the former Edith Kieffer, whom he married 50 years ago in Maryhill, three sons and four daughters. They are: Clarence at home, Wilburt of Guelph and Carl of Kitchener, and Mrs. Joe (Loretta) Daub and Mrs. Hugo (Anna) Zettel, both of Kitchener, Miss Clara and Miss Edith, both at home. There are 16 grandchildren. One daughter predeceased him seven years ago. Also surviving are four brothers and five sisters, George of Kitchener, Edward of Toronto, Andrew of Guelph, and Fred of Ariss, Mrs. John (Mary) Andrich, Mrs. Lloyd (Annie) Goetz, Mrs. Thomas (Eileen) Hasson, all of Guelph, Mrs. Elizabeth Huck of Chicago, and Sister M. Editha of West Bend, Wisconsin. Two brothers predeceased him. The body rested at the Gruhn Funeral Home until Tuesday at 9 a.m., when prayers were said before removal to St. Boniface Church for requiem high mass at 10 a.m. Rev. Jerome Fischer officiated. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

    Schuett, Clarence - Of Maryhill, at Grand River Hospital, K-W Health Centre, on Monday, July 10, 1995, aged 87 years. Clarence Schuett, a member of St. Boniface RC Church. A member of the Holy Name Society and also the choir of the church. Clarence was a retired farmer, farming in the Winterbourne area for many years. A past director of the North Waterloo Farmers Mutual Farm Insurance, one of the founding members of the North Waterloo Rural Soft Ball League, a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels and an active bowler and horseshoe player. A very active member of the Maryhill Knights of Columbus, Council 6024 and a fourth degree member of the Father Funcken General Assembly and a past executive with the International Plowing Match Association. Son of the late Charles Schuett and the former Edith Kieffer. Loving brother of Wilbert of Guelph, Carl and his wife Theresa of Kitchener, Loretta Daub, Anna Zettel, all of Kitchener and Clara and Edith Schuett of Maryhill. Special uncle to Dianne Grundy of Vancouver and Betty and Jim Schweitzer of Kitchener. Very special grandpa to Melanie, Matthew and Meaghan Schweitzer and will be missed by many more nieces and nephews. Visitation at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home & Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener after 7 p.m. this evening (Monday) where the family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Vigil for the Deceased Tuesday at 7: 30 p.m. Prayers will be offered from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, July 12 at 10: 15 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Boniface RC Church at 11 a.m. Father Ron Voisin officiating. She was born at Salem on Nov. 15, 1909, a daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Charles Schuett. She attended St. Boniface R.C. Church, Maryhill. Surviving are her husband, whom she married 15 years ago at Waterloo; her parents at West Montrose; three sons, Frederick, Joseph and Gerald at home; three daughters, Caroline, Dianne, and Betty at home; three brothers, Clarence Schuett, West Montrose; Wilbert, Guelph, and Carl, Kitchener; four sisters, Mrs. Joseph Daub, Miss Clara Schuett and Mrs. Hugo Zettle, all of Kitchener, and Miss Edith Schuett, West Montrose. The body was at the Gruhn Funeral Home, Kitchener from where the funeral was held Friday at 9: 15 a.m. to St. Boniface Church, Maryhill, for requiem high mass at 10 a.m. Rev.     Daub, Loretta Olive - Passed away peacefully at her residence, Heritage House in St. Jacobs, on Monday, October 29, 2007. Mrs. Daub was in her 97th year and was a member of the CWL and St. Aloysius RC Church, Kitchener. Loving mother of Donna (John) Druar of St. Clements and Charles (Shirley) Daub of Kitchener. Dear sister of Clara Schuett and Edith Schuett, both of Maryhill and Anna Zettel and Carl (Therese) Schuett all of Kitchener. Schuett, in his 89th year, was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (Bruder) Schuett (1993). Loving father of Will (Bev) Schuett, John (Joan) Schuett and Mary (Ken) Hebden, all of Guelph. Loving grandfather of Paul, Kurt (Lisa), Stephen, Stacey and Sandra Schuett and Karla, Eric and Patrick Hebden and Katie (Pete) Panopoulos; great-grandfather of Alexis and Mikayla Schuett and Dyan and Hana Panopoulos; dear brother of Carl (Therese) Schuett, Anna Zettel and Loretta Daub, all of Kitchener and Edith and Clara Schuett, of Maryhill. Predeceased by his sister, Marie Grundy and his brother Clarence Schuett. Wib was a painting contractor for over 40 years and an avid horseshoe player. He was recently inducted into the Ontario Horseshoe Hall of Fame. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph where the family will receive friends today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002 at 9: 30 a.m. Interment at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.     Clara passed away peacefully at her home, Twin Oaks of Maryhill on Friday, February 13th, 2015 in her 99th year. Clara grew up on the family farm outside Winterbourne. She also worked for many years at Merchants Printing doing bindery work. Clara enjoyed oil painting and decorating wedding cakes, travelling and helping out anyone in need of assistance. She also enjoyed visiting shut ins, sharing her cheery outlook on life. When the farm was sold in 1973, Clara moved to Maryhill with her sister Edith and brother Clarence. She was a member of St. Boniface RC Church and the C.W.L. and volunteered at her Church, singing in the choir and doing altar preparations and flowers with her sister Edith. She also volunteered at Twin Oaks, making numerous baby quilts for her extended family and Birthright and was a member of Right to Life and Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her brother Charles "Carl" and his wife Therese of Kitchener. She is loved and will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. She is a special "Grandma" to Melanie, Matt and Meghan. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Edith (Keiffer) Schuett, her brothers Clarence and Wilbert (Margaret) and her sisters Marie Grundy (Ted), Loretta Daub (Joseph), Anna Zettel (Hugo) and Edith Schuett. Her family would like to thank all the staff at Countryside Retirement and Twin Oaks of Maryhill for the loving compassionate care given to Clara.

    Clara's family received relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm with parish prayers at 3 pm. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home this morning (Tuesday, February 17, 2015) at 9: 15 am followed by procession to St. Boniface R.C. Church 1354 Maryhill Rd., Maryhill, Ontario N0B 2B0 for the Funeral Mass at 10 am with Father Ronald Voisin officiating. A reception will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home following the interment in the St. Boniface Parish Cemetery. The funeral will be held Saturday at the Gruhn Funeral Home at 9: 15 a.m. with services in St. Boniface RC Church, Maryhill, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Rev.
