    The death took place on Wednesday afternoon of Mrs. Mary C. Kresz, wife of Andrew S. Kresz, John Street, aged 52 years, 5 months and 26 days. The deceased had been in poor health for several years. She is survived by her husband, two sons and five daughters, Louis and Clayton, Louise, Pauline and Emma at home, Hattie, Hamilton, and Anna McKersie, Kitchener, one brother, George C. Forler, Wilmot township, and sister, Margarita Pfanner, Kitchener. The funeral will take place on Saturday, June 16 that 1:30 o'clock from the residence John Street, to St. John's Lutheran Church, for service and from thence to Mount Hope Cemetery for interment.

    Mrs. Pauline H. Forler
    Mrs. Pauline Henrietta Forler, 109 John St. E., Waterloo, died at St. Mary's Hospital last night following a lengthy illness. Deceased was born at St. Agatha, July 19, 1903, the daughter of Andrew Kress and the late Mrs. Kress. She was married to Clarence Forler who predeceased her in 1936. She is survived by her father; one son, John, at home, and four daughters, Pearl, Myrtle, Inez and Irene, all at home. Two brothers, Louis Kress, Westminster, B.C., and Clayton Kress, London, Ont., and four sisters, Mrs. A. McKersie, Mrs. Adolph Berlet, city, Mrs. Hattie Bonaney, St. Catherines, and Mrs. Harry Knack, Preston, also survive. The funeral will be held from St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo, of which she was a member, at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Rev. C. S. Roberts will conduct the services. The remains are resting at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home until Thursday morning when they will be removed from the residence. Interment will take place at Waterloo Mt. Hope Cemetery.

    MRS. HENRY KNACK

    Well-known Preston resident for the past 15 years, Emma Catherine Krez, wife of Henry Knack, died at her home, 433 Margaret street, yesterday afternoon, after an illness of two years. Deceased was in her 40 year. Born in Waterloo, the late Mrs. Knack lived in Kitchener, coming to Preston after her marriage, 15 years ago, and making her home since that time. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran church. Surviving is her husband and a daughter, Shirley Ann, both of Preston; her father, Andrew Krez, of Kitchener; three sisters, Mrs. Adolph Berlett of Kitchener, Mrs. Abraham McKersie of Kitchener and Mrs. Hattie Bonaney of St. Catharines; two brothers, Clayton of London and Louis of Victoria, B. C. Her mother predeceased her, 30 years ago and a sister, Mrs. Pauline Forler of Waterloo predeceased her a week ago. The late Mrs. Knack is resting at the Stager-Pass Ltd. funeral home, from where the service will be held on Saturday, at 3.30. Interment will be in the Preston cemetery.

    Forler, John Andrew

    Passed away peacefully, on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Grand River Hospital, at the age of 79 years. John is survived by his sister, Irene Forler of Waterloo and remembered by his nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters, Pearl Wagner (Arthur), Myrtle Pautler (Clifford) and Inez Forler. John worked for Lear for over 25 years and in his retirement was a familiar face at the Downtown Community Centre, where he will be missed by staff and friends. In keeping with John's wishes, cremation has taken place. Private interment will be held at Waterloo Mount Hope Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Arrangements entrusted to the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home (519)745-9495.
