    WELLESLEY, Sept. 30.- Funeral service for Mrs. John S. Koehler of Wellesley, who died Sunday at the home of her son. Norman Koehler. Berlets Corners, will be held Wednesday.

    A service will be held at 2 o'clock from the Norman Koehler residence and a memorial service at St. Paul's Canadian Lutheran Church at 2:30. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    ARRESTED FOR INDECENT ASSAULT

    Detective Klippert Monday afternoon arrested Joseph Meyer, a farm hand in the employ of Mr John Koehler, Wilmot Tp. The charge on which Meyer was arrested was one of assault committed upon fourteen year old girl, by the name of Emma Giese. The prisoner had a hearing before the Police Magistrate Tuesday afternoon and was dismissed.

    MRS. EMMA SCHANER - A resident of St. Jacobs for 37 years, Mrs. Emma Schaner, 73, died Thursday, August 27, in K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness.

    Born in Breslau, Oct. 18, 1885, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Giese.

    On Nov. 20, 1926, she was married to William Schaner, who died in January, 1941.

    She was a member of St. Jacobs, and was a charter member of the United Lutheran Church Woman.

    Survivors include two sons, Arthur of St. Jacobs, Harold of Elmira; six daughters, Mrs. Warren (Isabel) Smith, Mrs. Oliver (Hazel) Lackner and Mrs. Lorne (Helen) Renesky of St. Jacobs, Mrs. Walter (Alma) Weigel of Elmira, Mrs. Hilbert (violet) Schedewitz of Waterloo, Mrs. George (Edith) Issler of Kitchener; two sisters, Mrs. William Zinn of St. Thomas, Mrs. Mary Schaefer of Preston, and 15 grandchildren. Two son, three sisters and one brother predeceased her.

    The body rested at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, until Saturday at 11 am when removal was made to the church for the funeral at 3:30 o'clock. The Rev. Adolph Kappes officiated. Burial was in Heidelberg Lutheran Cemetery.

An active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, serving as a councillor, Sunday school teacher, also active in the choir, farmed at Wilmot Township, retiring in 1962, member of. the Holstein Friesian Association.

    Friends may call at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley, until noon on Tuesday, when removal will be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church for the service at 2:30. Rev. Orval Jansen will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Mark's Lutheran cemetery, Wellesley.

    Mrs. Andrew Lindner - By Record Staff Writer - New Hamburg - Mrs. Andrew Lindner, 69, of New Hamburg died early today at Coutts Pavilion, Freeport, after a long illness. Mrs. Lindner was born in Berlett's Corner, Wilmot Township. The former Frieda Koehler, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Koehler. She resided in North Easthope Township until 1939(?) when she moved to New Hamburg. She was a member of St. James' Lutheran Church, North Easthope. Surviving are eight sons, Wilfred of Kitchener, Edward and George of RR 1, Gadshill, Milton of RR 2, Gadshill, Andrew of Gadshill, Austin, Conrad and William of New Hamburg; two daughters, Mrs. John (Laurine) Switzer of Stratford and Mrs. Earl (Margaret) Koellner of St. Jacobs; two brothers, Astor and Norman of Wellesley; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Hahn of Heidelberg and Mrs. Eleanor Boehm of Kitchener, and 26 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband in 1944 and by one sister. The body is at the Omand Funeral Home, New Hamburg. The funeral will be conducted Saturday at St. James' Lutheran Church, North Easthope, by Rev. Elmer Olson. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

Harold and his brother Art took over the family business, Schaner Coal and Feed of St. Jacobs, and later, in addition, owned and operated Schaner Fuels in Elmira. At Harold's request cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation. A memorial service to celebrate Harold's life and faith will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Hans Borch officiating.     KRAEHLING, Vera Annie (nee Koehler)- Peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the age of 88 at Heritage House Nursing Home, St. Jacobs. She was the beloved mother of John (Stephanie) and Paul (Zlata). She was a loving sister to Marie Neeb and Dorothy Knipfel. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Jennie, Leah, Daniel and Laura; other family relatives and also her friends (especially those from Admiral Road, Kitchener where she lived for over 50 years). Vera was predeceased by her husband, Roy in 1984, her mother, Elsie (nee Berg) in 1984 and father, Astor Koehler in 1973. Vera loved gardening and was generous to others. She succumbed to heart disease after suffering a stroke in the summer of 2005 and was partially paralyzed since that time. We are all sad at Vera's passing but also see it as a blessing. Karl was a member of the Wellesley Horticultural Society and was an avid gardener.

Sadly missed by his father. Bert Schedewitz and his wife Marian of Simcoe. Loving father of Stephanie Krotz of Florida and Rebecca Bartlett. Dear brother of Rossand his wife Sylvia of Sharon and Mark and his wife Brenda of Waterloo. Grandfather of Brittany and Jacob. Stewart will also he remembered by aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by his little friend at Tim Horton's. Zach Tileman. Predeceased by his mother. Violet and one uncle, Oscar. Stewart was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Waterloo Branch No. 530. the Waterloo Chippers. the Central Ontario Funeral Directors Association and a former member of the Kiwanis Club of Cambridge. He was a dedicated funeral director for many years and worked at Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel where he dedicated his life to families in our community. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener, 742-4481 on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Transfer will be made on Tuesday. Feb. 18. 2003 at 12 noon toSt. John's Lutheran Church, 22 Willow St., Waterloo for a funeral service at 2 p.m., Rev. Allan Kehn and Rev. Ab Lorch officiating. Interment at Elmira Union Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Royal CanadianLegion, Waterloo.

    KNIPFEL, Paul James - Paul died, peacefully, and went home to be with his Lord after a four month illness. He died at St. Mary's General Hospital, in Kitchener, on Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at the age of 50. Beloved son of Dorothy (nee Koehler). Paul is also fondly remembered by his aunts and uncles, Vera Kraehing, Marie Neeb, Howard Knipfel and his wife Marguerite, all of Kitchener, John Knipfel and Betty Knipfel of Waterloo, Walter Knipfel and his wife Irene, Fred Knipfel and his wife Erika of Petersburg and his many cousins. Paul will be especially remembered by his many special friends at Fairway Lumber in St. Jacobs. He was predeceased by his father, Harold in 1979; a sister, Bonnie Lynne in 1967 and his uncles, Roy Kraehling, Wilfred Neeb and Alfred Knipfel. Paul was a man of faith which was demonstrated in many practical ways. He was a strong supporter of the programs and youth at Lutherwood-CODA and many other charities in the community. Paul's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dr. Dieter Kays officiating. Immediately following the service, friends and family are invited to the Reception Room of the funeral home for lunch and a time to visit with the family. Interment will take place on Saturday at 1: 30 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Petersburg.
