    KNACK, Angus R. - Of Cambridge, on Sunday, November 9, 2008, at Trinity Village Care Centre, Kitchener, in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Florence (nee Schlote) (2005). Dear father of Julianne Snider and her husband Dale of Waterloo and Peter Knack and his wife Carla of Bedford, Kentucky. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Kimberley Susanna (Tony), Darrin Snider (Linda), Allison Schindler (Scott), all of Waterloo, Hillary Knack of Kingston, Christopher Knack (Julie) of Windsor, and Darcie Knack Olszewski (Jeff) of Louisville, Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Sarah and Stephanie Susanna, Lindsay and Victoria Snider, Madison and Joshua Schindler, all of Waterloo and James Knack of Windsor and his niece, Patricia Knack of Cambridge. Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Catherine Knack; his brother, Waldemar Knack; his sister, Valeria Eital Becker and his nephew, Bruce Knack. Mr. Knack was born in Preston and had been a lifelong resident of the area. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church until moving to Trinity Village Studios in Kitchener in 2005, a Veteran of the Second World War, serving in Ottawa and Europe. He was a member of Preston-Hespeler Rotary Club and Probus Club. He was a winner of the Paul Harris Rotary Award. He was a former Committee Member of Adjustments of the Town of Preston, a former manager of Werlich Industries, retiring in 1971. In his youth he was active in hockey, baseball and tennis and enjoyed building and dreaming at his cottage on Sparrow Lake. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 810 King Street E, Cambridge on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at 11 a.m. Interment in Memory Gardens, Breslau. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Trinity Village Chapel or St. Peter's Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
