NEUFELD (nee Hass) Donna Elizabeth - 1946 - 2006. Peacefully, on Wednesday, March 22, 2006, with great courage and dignity, Donna completed her earthly journey surrounded by those she loved and who loved her. Not for one moment did she let her illness invade her beautiful spirit or take control of her strong mind. Loving wife of Bob, dear mother of Maria, Alex and Lynn and proud Nana of Tianna, all of Kitchener-Waterloo. She is also survived by her dad, Nick Nicoloff, her brother Paul (Debra) and their children, Michael and Braedan; nieces and nephews, Dana Grenier and Scott Driver of Tillsonburg, Nadia Crystal of Cambridge and T.J. Crystal of Kitchener-Waterloo; great nieces and nephews, Aiden and Cierrah Grenier and Jayden and Ashia Adams, aunts, uncles and cousins in Ontario and Newfoundland. Predeceased by her father, Gordon Hass (1954), her mother, Margaret (Peggy) Nicoloff (January 2005) and her sisters, Brenda Crystal (1996) and Debra Driver (2001). Donna was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church being involved in the Catholic Women's League and the choir. She faithfully served as a Lector, Commentator and Eucharistic Minister. She taught periodically for the Waterloo Roman Catholic District School Board from 1966 until her illness in 2000. During this time she and her husband also owned and operated Emerald Limousine Service and an Avis Car Rental franchise in Waterloo. Donna had a life-long love of music and she used her talent as a long time member of the K-W Philharmonic Choir and the Music Alive Choir. Other interests were sewing, golfing and bridge. She always looked forward to meeting with her dear high school friends annually on the second Tuesday of June. A celebration of her life will be held at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 621 King St. W. Kitchener, Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and today (Friday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where parish prayers will be recited at 8: 45 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, at St. Agatha Church at 11 a.m. with Father Charles Fedy C.R. officiating. Donations may be made to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre as expressions of sympathy and may be arranged through the funeral home, 745-9495 or www.ratzbechtelfuneral home.com A sincere thank you to all of her special angels, particularly Anne Straus for making peace out of chaos in scheduling care givers; Doctors Knight, Senthelal, Donna Ward, MacMillan, Father Charlie Fedy, neighbours, bridge girls, long time friends, colleagues (especially at Holy Rosary School), Tara Holt, Barbie Butts R.N. and all the medical support staff, pastoral care givers and all those who walked with her on her faith journey.
