    WEILER, Irma (nee Preskey) - November 7, 1917 - October 3, 2009.

    Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Sunnyside Nursing Home.

    Survived by her sister, Evelyn Schlachter of Medicine Hat Alberta; daughter, Marlene Doughtery (Barry) and son, Charles Weiler (Barbara Giesler); grandchildren, Steven, Jay, Jessica, Tyler, and Andrew and three great-grandchildren.

    Predeceased by her husband, Simon Weiler; sisters, Edith Rossol, Adeline Headworth, Alice Brittner and brother, Charles Preskey.

    Lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law, Alberta Goetz and Rita Stoesser; brother-in-law, Howard Conrad; as well as many nieces and nephews.

    Irma experienced 91 years of loving and being loved by her family and friends.

    She was born in Medicine Hat Alberta and moved to Kitchener-Waterloo in 1947.

    Irma's closing years were spent at Sunnyside Nursing Home.

    The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff and volunteers of Sunnyside Home for their special care and loving support.

    At Irma's request, cremation has taken place.

    Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Irma at her memorial service which was held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home.

    In lieu of flowers, donations to Sunnyside Nursing Home or the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated (cards available through the funeral home).
