    Charles H. Gooding

    Following a lengthy illness Charles H. Gooding, 58, of 408 Wellington St. N., died at the K-W Hospital early today.

    The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Gooding, he was born at Glen Allan Sept. 1, 1888. He was a member of the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans having served overseas in the First Great War with the 188th Battalion. He attended Trinity United Church.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Mary McCrae; one son, Garfield; one daughter. Delores, both of Kitchener. and two brothers, George A., Palmerston, and Norman, Kitchener. The remains are resting at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held Thursday at two o'clock. Interment will be made in the Soldiers' Plot in Woodland Cemetery. Rev. E. O. Seymour will officiate.

    Norman Gooding

    Norman Gooding of 104 Margaret Ave. died at St. Mary's Hospital Saturday after a brief illness. He was 75.

    A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Gooding, he was born in Glen Allan Sept. 28, 1893. He lived in the Twin Cities for the past 41 years. For 20 years he was employed at B.F. Goodrich Canada Ltd. He retired in 1961. He was a veteran of the First World War and served overseas. He was a member of Trinity United Church. His wife, the former Mabel McCrae, predeceased him in January, 1962. He was also predeceased by one daughter, Mabel, in 1950.

    Surviving are four sons, Norman of Waterloo and Thomas, Reginald and Alexander, all of Kitchener; three daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Dorothy) Lehmann, Mrs. Lorne (Patricia) Witschonski and Mrs. Anthony (Shirley) Zahra, all of Kitchener and 15 grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and George.

    The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. Rev. J. H. Patterson of Trinity United Church will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.

    GOODING, Garfield - At K-W Hospital, on Friday, Jan., 2, 1987, Garfield Gooding, of Lois Street, Kitchener. in his 75th year.

    Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Gooding was predeceased by his wife, Margaret in 1978.

    He was a member of Highland Road Baptist Church, the Rockway Senior Citizen's Club and St. Anthony Daniel Senior Citizens. He attended the Breithaupt Centre and was an avid bowler and lawn bowler.

    Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener today (Saturday), from 7-9 p.m. Funeral and committal service in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel, on Sunday at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Frank Morgan officiating. Interment Memory Gardens.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Highland Road Baptist Church Memorial Fund. Reception to follow Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre.

    Mr. Gooding was a member of St. Agnes RC Church and the Holy Name Society. He served with the Highland Light Infantry in the Sec ond World War and was employed with Dahmer Steel Company for many years.

    Predeceased by his parents, Norman and Mabel Gooding; brothers, Norman and Alex and sisters, Patricia and Mabel.

    Mr. Gooding's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Fu- neral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, this evening (Monday) 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Hyde officiating.
