    Herbert Runstedler

    PRESTON, Dec. 10., The death of Herbert Runstedler, 61, occurred at St Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, early today following a serious illness of two weeks. Born atPreston, he resided here the greater part of his life, with the exception of some years spent in Detroit. A machinist, he learned the trade at the former BallantineCo., Preston and worked for many years at the Preston Woodworking Machinery Co. He was past patriarch of the Preston Lodge LO.O.F. and was a member of the Victory Encampment and the Preston Horticultural Society. He was very active in horticultural work. He attended St. Paul's United Church. Surviving are his wife, the former May Ethelle Cress; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Grimwood, Preston, Mrs. Wilfred Weir ofWhitney and Barbara at home; two sons, James of Ayr and John of Brantford; two sisters, Margaret and Mrs. Edward O'Neill of Preston; two brothers, Fred of Windsor and Albert of Detroit. The remains are resting at the Stager-Pass Ltd., Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Thursday, at 2: 30 p.m. Interment will be made in the Preston Cemetery.

    James H. Runstedler of Cambridge passed away at K-W Hospital on Wednesday, November 8th. He was in his 74th year. Born in Preston on April 1st, 1918 he has been a resident of Cambridge all his life and was retired from Campbell Machine, Kitchener. Beloved husband of Alice McLeod and dear father of Bob of Mt. Forest, dear brother of Jack of Sundridge and George of Burlington, Mrs. Betty Waring of Cambridge. Dear grandfather of Christopher and Paul. Mr. Runstedler was predeceased by two sisters Charlotte and Phyllis. Funeral service was held at the Coutts and Son Funeral Home. Galt. on Friday. Interment Ayr Cemetery.

Mrs. Runstedler had been a lifelong resident of the area, moving to Ayr five years ago. She had been employed at West Heights Mfg., Kitchener, for the past 15 years. Beloved wife of Wayne Neal; dear mother of Scott and Jacqueline, both at home; dear sister of John of Kingswood, Diane (Mrs. John Whitwarn) of Sundridge, Judy (Mrs. Alan Bailey) of Georgetown, Kathy de Jong of Princeton, Donna (Mrs. Danny Bender) of Woodstock, Carol (Mrs. Dave Brunskil) of Fergus and Sandy Runstedler of Kitchener; dear sister-in-law of Scott and Sandra Neal of Cambridge. Predeceased by one brother, Paul; her in-laws, Earl and Evelyn Neal. Rested at the Barthel Funeral Home, Preston, where funeral service was held Friday. Interment in Ayr Cemetery.
