    Milverton - Christian B. Ropp, 82, of Milverton died Monday at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Rose Nahrgang, of Rostock. A lifelong resident of the area, Mr. Ropp was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ropp. He operated a greenhouse in Milverton for many years and was a member of the Evangelical United Brethern Church in Rostock. His wife, the former Katherine Kropf, whom he married Nov. 4, 1908, died Dec. 12, 1956. He was also predeceased by three sisters, a brother and a grandchild. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alec (Gertrude) Davidson of RR 2, Vienna; three brothers, Peter of Poole, Samuel of Zurich and William of Brunner; a sister, Mrs. Noah Speckley of Milverton, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The body is at the McMane Funeral Home. Removal will be made at noon Thursday for a service at the Evangelical United Brethern Church, Rostock, at 2: 30 p.m. The service will be conducted by Rev. G. R. Strome. Temporary entombment will be made in Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum, with burial later in Stirling Avenue Mennonite Cemetery, Kitchener.

    Mrs. John Brunk By Record Correspondent

    POOLE-Mrs. John Brunk, 68, died at her home here Saturday after a short illness. Born in Ellice Township in 1891, she was a daughter of the late John Ropp and Anna Beller. She was a member of the Poole North Mennonite Church. Surviving are her husband, John, to whom she was married Dec. 4, 1917, in Ellice Township; two daughters, Mrs. William (Mildred) Brenneman and Mrs. Walter (Norma) Leis, both of RR 1, Milverton; four brothers, Christian and Peter of Poole, Samuel of Zurich and William of Brunner, and one sister, Mrs. Noah Steckley of Brunner. Six grandchildren also survive. The body is at the home where the funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. followed by a memorial service at Poole North Mennonite Church at 2: 30 p.m. Bishop Moses Roth will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    W. Ropp

    William Ropp, 87, of the Nithview Nursing Home, New Hamburg, died at his residence on Saturday.

    Mr. Ropp, a former resident of Milverton and Wellesley, worked for many years in the Milverton area as a machinist.

    Born in Ellice Township on June 4, 1899, he was a son of the late John and Annie (Bellar) Ropp.

    Mr. Ropp was predeceased by his first wife, Magdalena Steckley, and his second wife, Catherine (Albrecht) Bach.

    He was a member of Poole Mennonite Church.

    Mr. Ropp is survived by three sons, Ivan and wife Mildred of Wellesley, Lloyd of Kitchener and Lincoln and wife Blanche of Milverton, two step-sons, Nelson Bach and wife Laura of Brunner and Clarence Bach and wife Grace of Millbank; 16 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

    He was predeceased by a daughter, Doris; four brothers, four sisters, a grandson, Paul, and a great-granddaughter, Ginger.

    Friends were received at the Futher Brothers Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, on Monday. On Tuesday, transfer was made to Poole Mennonite Church for the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Rev. David Brubacher officiated.

    Interment was in the church cemetery.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or the charity of one's choice.

    Menno B., son of the late John and Annie (Bellar) Ropp, was born in Perth Co., Ont., April 16, 1880*; passed away suddenly of a heart attack, Nov. 12, 1953, while on his way to Kitchener, Ont., to visit his sister who was a patient at the K. and W. Hospital ; aged 64 y. 6 m. 27 d. He confessed Christ as his personal Saviour in his youth and united with the A. M. congregation at Poole, later transferring his membership to the East Zorra Church where he served faithfully for many years. In 1914 he was united in marriage to Annie Schlegel (nee Yantzi) who survives him. Also surviving him are the following children (Annie Mae-Mrs. Almon Roth and Frieda-Mrs. Wilmer Baechler, both of South Weasthope; Gloyd, Ailsa Craig, Ont.; Neil, Wilmot, Ont.; Irma-Mrs. Stanley Lichiti and Ada-Mrs. Christ Bender, both of East Zorra), 5 stepchildren (Selna-Mrs. Ed. Brenneman; Barbara-Mrs. Joe Zehr, Edna-Mrs. Henry Schumn, and Omer and Ezra Schlegel, all of East Zorra), 4 brothers and 4 sisters (Sam, Peter, Chris, William, Sarah-Mrs. Peter Brunk, Anna-Mrs. John Brunk, Emma-Mrs. Noah Steckley, and Susanna-Mrs. J. Johnson), and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service was held Nov. 16 at the Sixteenth Line A. M. Church with Joel Schwartzentruber and Wilfred Schlegel officiating. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.

    Dianne Mae (Knoblauch) Rellinger, formerly of Milverton and Listowel, passed away peacefully at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth on Thursday August 27, 2020 at the age of 69. Dianne worked for many years at Cooper Standard Automotive in Stratford and retired in 2011. She was a volunteer with North Perth Hospice for a time. Dianne enjoyed reading and the time spent with her family. She loved travelling and camping over many years.

    Dianne was born in New Hamburg on March 15, 1951, a daughter of the late Almon and Annie Mae (Ropp) Roth. She is survived by her sister Shirley (Herb) Wagler, brothers Ervin and Ed Roth, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Brenda Roth, Wayne (Mary Lou) Knoblauch, Richard (Glenda) Knoblauch and Lorna Knoblauch. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

    Predeceased by her husband Bill Knoblauch, friend Alex Henry, her sister and brother-in-law Nelda and Del Roth, brother Mayne, sisters-in-law Marie Roth and Wanda Roth, nephew-in-law Cliff Elliott, father-in-law and mother-in-law Claude and Lavina Knoblauch, sister-in-law Diane Knoblauch and brother-in-law Daryl Knoblauch.

    Interment in Poole Mennonite Cemetery.
