Of Spruce Street, Cambridge, on Friday, December 31, 1999, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Lil) Reed. Dear father of ron and his wife Vi of Kitchener and Gwyn Purdy and her husband Sam of Branchton. Lovely remembered by two grandchildren Shannon and Leanne Purdy. Survived by one brother Nelson (Buzz) Esch and his wife Vera of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Nelson and Elsie Esch, one brother Bill and three sisters; Gert Scott, Mary Esch and Evelyn Schuller. Mr. Esch was born in Doon and has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, the Royal Canadian Legion Preston Branch 126 and was employed for 33 years, as a warehouse manager with Savage Shoes, retiring 20 years ago. He was also a Veteran of W.W.II serving overseas in Holland, with the Algonquin Army Regiment. At Earl's request cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, 567 Queenston Road, Cambridge, on Wednesday, January 5, 2000, at 2: 00 p.m., with Canon David Bowyer officiating.

Of Rose Street, Cambridge, passed away peacefully, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, October 27, 2002, in his 79th year. He will be sadly missed by his family and loving wife of 57 years, Vera Paulitzki. Dear father of Robert and his wife Rosemary, Linda White and her husband Les and Janice Kennell and her husband Ernie, all of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by three grandchildren, Laura and Joanne Kennell and Jennifer White. Predeceased by his parents, Nelson and Elsie Esch; two brothers, Earl and Bill and three sisters, Gert Scott, Mary Esch and Evelyn Schuller. Mr. Esch was born in Doon and has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 126 and was employed as a shipper/receiver with Preston Manufacturing, retiring 13 years ago. He was a veteran of the Second World War. At Nelson's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (810 King St., Cambridge), on Friday, November 1, 2002, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Neil Thomsen officiating. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens, Breslau.

FISHER, William George - Passed away peacefully at Stirling Heights, Cambridge on August 2, 2009 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Vera Harvie, who predeceased him in 1998. Loving brother of Isabel Russell (predeceased) of Cambridge and Helen Hallman (predeceased) of Waterloo. Lovingly remembered by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as nieces and nephews. Bill was an avid bowler, and will be sadly missed by both his regular bowling team from Waterloo and his Preston lawn bowling team. Bill held a longtime middle management position with the former Savage Shoes. Friends and family will be received at the T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street East, Cambridge on Thursday, August 6, 2009 (today) from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
