    Inquest Into Bruno Giese Death Arranged For Week From Tonight

    LINWOOD, June 26. The inquest into the death of Bruno Giese, victim of an unusual accident on the C.P.R. at Wallenstein station, will be held a week from tonight at seven o'clock at the Wallenstein station, Coroner. Dr. Stewart announced.

    The late Mr. Glese was born Dec. 10, 1886 at Breslau, He moved to Hawkesville shortly after his marriage to Clara Duench on January 27, 1915, Subsequently they moved to near Linwood where he farmed for ten years. Two years ago the family came to Linwood.

    A tragle coincidence in connection with the death is that his own father, the late Reinhold Glese, also met a violent death, being killed in 1909 while cutting down a tree in a bush near Breslau.

    He is survived by six sisters in addition to his family of nine children. They are, Lena, Mrs. Wm. Reynard of Owen Sound, Mary. Mrs. Carl Schaefer of Kitchener, Emma, Mrs. Wm. Schaner of St. Jacobs, Edith, Mrs. Wm. Zinn of Sparta, Laura, Mrs. Alvin Kesselring, Kitchener and Elizabeth, Mrs. Jacob Wagner of Kitchener.

    The funeral will be held on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the residence with a German service followed by one in English at St. Peter's Lutheran church at 2.20 o'clock. Burial will take place in the adjoining cemetery.

    NELLIE MARIE ROBINSON (NEE GIESE)

    Passed away, peacefully, surrounded by family, at Forest Heights Long-Term Care Centre, on Sunday, October 5, 2003 in her 88th year.

    Mrs. Robinson was a charter member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Waterloo.

    Loving mother of Raymond (Greta) of Guelph, Leonard (Ferne) of Listowel, Gladys Delion (Rodger) of Hanover, Robert (Rose) of Kamloops, B.C., and Brenda Moorehouse of Kitchener.

    Remembered by 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

    Dear sister of Alma Pinkey, Rose Schnarr, Lorraine Williams, Earl Giese, Nelda Sutherland and Harold Giese.

    Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

    Predeceased by her parents Bruno and Clara (Duench) Giese, her husband Russell Robinson in 1991, her grandson Shawn Robinson, her great-granddaughter Gabrielle Burger, her brothers Carl and Bill Giese, and her sister Irene Jurchuk.

    Relatives and friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, 745-9495, on Tuesday, Oct. 7 (today) form 7-9 p.m

    Funeral service will be held at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 29 Westmount Rd. S., Waterloo, on Wednesday, October 8, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tanya Varner officiating.

    Reception in the church hall with interment at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Linwood.

    ROSE A. (Happy) SCHNARR nee Giese 1923 - 2006

    Passed away, peacefully, at St. Mary's General Hospital, on Sunday, October 15, 2006, at the age of 83.

    Daughter of the late Clara (Duench) and Bruno Giese.

    Beloved wife of Lorne Schnarr for 63 years.

    Loving mother of Geraldine (Franklin) Lewis and the late Joan Wilkinson and Joan's surviving husband, Albert Wilkinson.

    Remembered by seven grandchildren and their spouses, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

    Sister of Harold Giese, Earl Giese (Ruth), Nelda Sutherland (Donald), Lorraine Williams and Alma Pinke. Also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard Schnarr (Loretta), Morris Schnarr (Joan), Ralph Schnarr (Mary) and Edna Schnarr.

    Survived by many nieces and nephews.

    Predeceased by brothers, Carl Giese, Bill Giese (Jean); sisters, Nellie Robinson (Russell), Irene Jurchuk (John); sister-in-law, Gloria Giese; brothers-in-law, Al Williams, Art Pinke, Howard Schnarr, Albert Schnarr and Arnold Schnarr (Dorothy).

    Friends and relatives were invited to the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, for visitation on Tuesday, October 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 8 p.m.

    The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 (today) at 11:30 a.m. at St. Agnes RC Church, 75 Bluevale St. N., Waterloo.

    Interment at St. Agatha RC Cemetery, St. Agatha.

    A reception will follow the interment in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
