    Man's Body Found In River With Its Arms Clasped About Stone

    Badly Decomposed Body Believed To Be That Of Herbert Kramp, Missing For Nine Days

    With arms clasped around a stone In mid-stream. the body of a man believed to be Herbert Kramp, who has been missing from his home at 25 North Eby street for nine days, was discovered in the Grand. River at Breslau on Saturday. To all appearances according to Coroner Dr. Kalbfleisch, Kramp committed suicide by drowning. As a result, there will he no inquest.

    It fell to the lot of George Poest, Elgin street. to make the gruesome find while fishing about one mile from the railway bridge. Observing the body in mid-stream. he immediately returned to the city and informed the woman of the house at which he boarded of his discovery.

    She in turn called Detective Blevins who returned with Poest to the river. The body was recovered about two o'clock in the afternoon.

    Dr. Kalbfleisch stated today that the body was in a very advanced state of decomposition. Identification was possible only by means of papers in the dead man's pocket. There is not doubt the cornoror added that the body had been in the river since Kramp disappeared a week before.

    He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Dorothy, all of this, his mother Mrs. Elizabeth Kramp and one brother, Arthur, both of Shanz Station.

    The funeral was held yesterday afternoon from the Lippert and Hunter funeral home with Reverend Albert Orzen, pastor of St Paul's Lutheran Church, in charge. The pallbearers were WR Cooper, EA snow, OE Schneider, AC Mason, HW Rotheramel and AE Cudmore.

    Burial was made in the Woodland Cemetery.

    Passed away peacefully, with family by her side on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Fairview Mennonite Home, in her 89th year. Reunited again with her husband Marshall (2006). Loving mom to Ken (Susan) and Ron (Janet). Cherished grandma to Sarah (Eric) Brown, Ian (Denise), Curtis, Jacalyn (Andy) Allen and Adam (Alison) and special GG to Jessica and Kaitlyn Brown, Maggie and Marshall Furlong, Kara Allen and Riley Furlong. Forever remembered sister-in-law to Eleanor Furlong and Jean Furlong-Dundas. Reta will be missed by many other family and friends. Predeceased by brothers; Edward and Howard Kramp and sister, Helen Schilling. Reta was a member of the Horticultural Club, where she fulfilled her passion of gardening. She also enjoyed quilting, knitting and spending time with her family. Family will receive friends at T. Little Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 223 Main Street, Cambridge on Saturday, July 16, 2016, for visitation from 11 - 1 p.m. Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home chapel, at 1 p.m. Private family burial to follow.

    HERTZBERGER, Dorothy Elizabeth 1918 - 2015 It is with great sadness and many loving memories of Dorothy that we share with you her peaceful passing at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Sunday, January 11, 2015. She was 96 years old. She joins her beloved husband, John Henry Hertzberger (2007). Dearly loved mother of Jane Seeley and her husband, Rob of Kitchener. Dear Gran to Kate DeSousa and her husband, Rick and Matt Seeley and his partner, Andrew. Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Louisa Kramp. She will be dearly missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Dorothy was a bookkeeper by profession, working at several companies, the latest being Kieswetter Excavating. After their retirement, Dorothy and John purchased a maple sugar bush in the Elmira area where they made maple syrup and enjoyed many social gatherings with family and friends. Friends are invited to share their memories of Dorothy with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, January 13th from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 14th at 1: 30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. David Malina officiating. Reception to follow in the Fireside room of the funeral home. Interment at Union Cemetery, Elmira. Dorothy's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Doris Winfield, the support workers at CCAC and the nurses and doctors at Emergency and on the 8th floor at Grand River Hospital.
