    Daughter of the late Joseph May and Clara Brohman; wife of the late Augustine (Gus) Hicknell; mother of Maurice of Kitchener, Anna Mae (Mrs. Earl Pearce) of St. Thomas and Marjorie (Mrs. Joseph Zinger) of Maryhill; sister of Mrs. Anna Lockie of Cambridge (P), Mrs. Marie Scherrer of Kitchener and Mrs. Margaret Kleopfer of Breslau. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

    Predeceased by one son, Joseph; one grandson and one brother.

    Visitation at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton St., Kitchener. Prayers were offered at the funeral home on Saturday, May 8, at 1:15, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Boniface.

    Of Hanning House, Cambridge on Friday, December 18, 1998, at her residence in her 97th year. Anna May, beloved wife of the late Alva Lockie (1980). Anna is survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Clara May, one brother Clement May and three sisters Angela (Mrs. Gus Hicknell), Marie (Mrs. Oscar Sherrer) and Margaret (Mrs. Herman Kloepfer). Mrs. Lockie was born in Waterloo Township and was a lifetime resident of the area. She was a member of St. Clements R.C. Church and was self-employed as a hairdresser for 40 years. The family will receive friends at the BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, on Sunday, from 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 21, 1998, at St. Clement's R.C. Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge, at 10: 00 a.m. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge.

    Hicknell, Maurice (Morris) John

    Maurice passed away peacefully, after a short illness, at Freeport Hospital on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the age of 84 (40 days shy of his 85th birthday). He passed away surrounded by all of his loving family and Arlene.

    Maurice was the husband of the late Jannet Isabell (Cooper) Hicknell (1968). Loving father to Denise Kerr (Tony), Doug Hicknell (Maryann Hendrey), John Hicknell and Jo-Ann Heller (Mike). Loving grandpa to Jannet Lavoie (Phil), Marie Kerr, Felicia Saunders (Steve), Angela and Tyler Hicknell and Joshua and Justin Heller. Loving great grandpa to Logan, Alex, Victoria, Layla, Lilian and others. Maurice is survived by his sisters Anna Mae Pierce (Earl - 2015) and Marjorie Zinger (Joseph - 2005). Predeceased by his parents Augustan and Angela (nee May) Hicknell and also a brother Joseph (1973). Maurice will be missed by his dear friend and companion Arlene Beitz who was a great comfort to Maurice throughout their time together.

    Maurice was the owner/operator of Hicknell Trucking from 1958-1992 when he retired. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus for 50 years.

    Maurice's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Parish prayers 8:45 p.m. on Sunday evening. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015 followed by procession to St. Anne's R.C. Church, 268 East Ave., Kitchener for a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
    Interment Woodland Cemetery followed by reception in the church hall.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations to Freeport Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family
